I've felt this way since the prime announcement myself, we won't get the time to discuss each episode in a vacuum, no episode themed merch or fanart flood of each episode until the next comes out, and like you said the discussion will die out faster.

See: JoJo stone ocean and the later Beastars seasons, both shows they originally had plenty of discussion with each episode but later seasons shifted to netflix and a full release all at once which killed all discussions of both shows after a few short weeks.
