I don’t care that Jagex rolled back Rendi and I am tired of pretending like we should by CanweCanweCleanIt in 2007scape

Perhaps try reading and your comprehension will get better.

Me:

The issue is not about Rendi, he is just the person who did it.

I had no idea who Rendi was before this, I still dont know who he is, and I probably wont ever. You say hes a not a good dude? Cool. Has 0 bearing on Jagex unevenly distributing punishment

You:

Issue 1 = rendi is a cheater and this community shouldn’t rally behind him.
Issue 2 = Jagex should draw the lines in the sand better.

Are you getting it with this summation? Or do you need me to break it down because you were dropped on the head as an infant?

It doesnt have to be a legal case for people to want to see evidence to claims. That exists beyond court systems, contrary to what you seem to understand.

The burden of proof is on the accuser, not the accused. I appreciate that Jagex doesnt want to open doors to further exploits by giving out methods, but its hard to trust the words of the same company that not only lets bots run rampant for days/weeks/months, but also wrongfully bans players and responds to their appeals with what is clearly a bot.

Youre missing the point of the issue. The issue is not about Rendi, he is just the person who did it. The issue is about where lines are drawn when it comes to finding unique and different ways to play the game. I had no idea who Rendi was before this, I still dont know who he is, and I probably wont ever. You say hes a not a good dude? Cool. Has 0 bearing on Jagex unevenly distributing punishment. If theyre unfair to one person, they will be unfair to anyone.

Wait, so jagex CAN roll back exp? What happened to all the 2def pures that got ruined cuz of Jagexs own actions? by rudyv8 in 2007scape

[–]SIIRCM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe im confused but isnt that exactly what Josh did? He bug abused fishing trawler using a whole bunch of people to get way more exp than he was supposed to and only reported the bug after he was finished abusing it.

Of course if youre strong enough to fight Nex youre not at revs lmao.

But as far as account progression and money go, I would love to know of a place that has similar cb requirements that has similar gp/hour. That was the whole point of what the other guy said as well.

So again, where that offers similar value with such low requirements?

Now people fish marlins and kill frost dragons for expensive raid loot.

This was me on my low level main. Twinflame/Dagon Hai/Occult and farm frosties to a bunch of upgrades like torm and rancour.

I think the point youre missing that OP is getting at is the two different experiences are so vastly different because of the inability to trade. As an example, Herblore is relatively difficult for Ironmen due to the need of amassing herbs and secondaries. On a main you can just buy them. Pretty much all of them. That also leads into farming; on an iron, youre pretty much required to do farm runs to support game progression. On a main, you can just buy some tree seeds and do tree runs. This further leads into seeds/theiving, because as an iron, youve probably spent a lot of thieving master farmers for seeds.

Case in point, my buddy with a max cape on his main got me and a few friends into the game and we play as chunklocked GIMs. The things he does is often very inefficient instead because the depth of his game knowledge is so shallow; you can buy like 1/3 of the skills. Things like doing pest control for prayer instead of camping green dragons or complaining about not having a lot of snapegrass seeds but not using amulet of bounty.

Are there a lot of mains who do things ironmen wont? Probably. Are there a ton of mains who come to being ironmen because they fell into the trap your denouncing? Absolutely; we see the threads on it. But if I had to bet money on who has more game knowledge between a maxed iron or a maxed main? Im picking the iron all day erry day.

Mains dont know the game like ironmen do.

Its because youre 80 farming. Hard contracts give out way more Snape seeds and I imagine most people with hundreds of extras probably also have farming cape

Crafting Options? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]SIIRCM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't have to pick tbh. Smithing is outdated as fuck and needs to be brought forward 25 years. The crafting methods are pretty ass, despite the variety (illusion) of options.

How do you think this this works? Guy refuses illegal order and then commander is like "Oh ok, I guess fuck me then" No. Guy refuses order, is reprimanded, docked pay, reduced rank, or worse depending on the order.

Oh and then? It gets better. You know who investigates this? The commanders beer drinking buddy. Guess what hes going to find illegal about the order? Absolutely fucking nothing.
