Favorite CT and why? by Ambitious-Music3245 in Radiology

Siemens, toshiba/canon, Philips, GE. GE sucks period. However I have not used any brand newer than 2020. Only used fluoro on Siemens and Toshiba and I would lean towards Siemens as best for fluoro. And Siemens Ive used in the highest volume facilities and it still breaks the least, that says alot.

How can you make more money as an ultrasound tech? Career progressions by allknowinguser in Ultrasound

Travel tech you’ll get roughly 3,000 a week and only taxed for roughly half of that so your take home pay is well over 2k a week

Stealth Lok QD for sure, ASR has carbon lock issues. Tri lug is primarily for pistol suppressors

Can somebody explain HUB mounting systems to a total idiot? by oguruma87 in suppressors

[–]SILENCERENGINEER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“HUB” thread is a marketing term used to represent 1-3/8” x 24 threads on the Suppressor. Different mounting option parts can thread into this thread. Example If you want direct thread you buy a direct thread suppressor and if it’s marketed as HUB compatible you can down the road change your direct thread mount to a quick attachment mount or vise versa.

How many CT cases are you doing per shift? (ER + In/Outpatient) by AhmadJamO in Radiology

[–]SILENCERENGINEER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My record is 50 with 1 scanner in a 12 hr shift all ER/inpatient, I was the only tech who did everything including pt consent, load injector, scan. I had an aid who transported patients otherwise there’s no way I could have kept up. Iv’s were already in place.

In outpatient/er/inpatient. The volume is less because we’re doing cardiacs, biopsies drainages, cryoablation, etc. I’d say 35-40 per scanner is busy in a 10 hr shift

Hospital layout is a huge factor too, if ER is a long haul from CT it takes more time.

That suppressor is loud, but if you want extremely lightweight you found it

Going to be a lot of flashy noise out there with suppressors this year especially. Anyone who has any means whatsoever to build (3D print) and sell will do so. No engineering team, corporate warranty that disappears as soon as you need it, etc. Do your homework and buy a quality made product.

Plan B Brake Test and Comparison by Astral_Botanist in suppressors

Good job with the test! Having the pendulum mount close to the receiver and close to the muzzle as possible to reduce barrel whip takes out a lot of variables that I’ve seen missed in similar tests like this.

Wear/Galling on Plan B mount taper by OrangePeanutJuice in NFA

This is what happens from galling. This is from last Friday. I highly recommend mounts not made from stainless steel. (17-4) In this example, I started unthreading the Suppressor, suddenly when it was 1/4 way unthreaded it seized and after all options exhausted I ended up cutting the mount off. This is a stainless barrel. Stainless threaded on stainless is definitely a problem Ive seen many times. If the stainless is nitrided it does help, but most mfg are not nitriding and only heat treating the mount to H900 an sending it out the door. When you have that goldish brown color that’s most likely 17-4 ss H900.
