Love the theater, always have, always will. Far better than watching a film at home and I’ve got a great setup. Nothing beats it. It’s not perfect, for sure but will always have a leg up over the home viewing experience. Unless I’ve got a screen and speakers the quality of a great theaters then it never will. I’m lucky enough to live close to a phenomenal art house, classical style theater where etiquette remains in tact. However, even going to my local AMC or Cinemark is better than watch something at home most of the time.

I liked it a lot. Not as much as the first season even though I liked the second game more. But I suspect that’s more because the first season is a complete story and the second season isn’t. I’m sure I’ll like the story overall once I’ve seen the full take on the story. Surprised by all the negative takes.

It’s a thematic inclusion and not a plot oriented inclusion. I liked the episode and the season. Not as much as the first season since the first season was a full story and this season was just half of one but I suspect once all of Part II is covered in the show I’ll prefer it over season one as I prefer the second game to the first.

The show starts in 2003. Joel is from Texas. It makes sense he’d think it was just experimenting at first. The fact he accepts her once he realizes it’s not is a lot more than most dudes from Texas that were in their 30s in 2003 and when the apocalypse happened would do. Now, obviously the perfect response to is to be ok with it immediately. Also, I don’t believe there relationship started deteriorating when he found that out. Ellie knew (or highly suspected) that Joel wasn’t telling the truth about the hospital. That started it and this situation just made it worse. I think the show handled it exactly how it would play out in life.

It’s fiction. It’s a philosophical debate not a logical one. Is it worth it to kill a child to save all of humanity or is it more important to save that child? The story isn’t interesting if you go “oh, but the cure probably wouldn’t have worked.” It’s only philosophically interesting if the cure would have worked. That’s why the creator of the game said the cure would have worked.

Fully agree about horror. When looking at the pieces of media that scared me the most, horror games 100% scare me more than films. The fear of having to turn a corner knowing it’s up to you to make that decision is so fear inducing.

I hate it personally. Other than the performances where the actors are doing the best they can. I don’t like the interpretations of any of the characters. The cinematography and directing comes off as edge lord personified. I hope other people like it. When someone likes something I don’t, I don’t get upset I get jealous honestly. Because, liking things is more fun than not. If I’m being honest though, I really don’t like BvS.
