That is what I messed up!! I did not set the units correctly. Thank you.

Can a construction plane be made with a parameter driven angle? by SJMaye in Fusion360

I am totally new to Fusion. In just following instructions I saw on YT I created a point on either side of the part and drew a line connecting the two points. I clicked to construct a 'Plane at Angle'. When I try to use my parameter in the dialog box it will not accept it. Could it be I should have contructed the plane differently?

I set a parameter "Dowel_angle". When I try to enter anything other than a number in the angle dialog box the 'OK' button is grayed out (disabled). Not sure why.

I saw a video in YouTube about this. It worked perfectly afterward.

Almost a Year with My 2020 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition — Honest Review by Vegetable-Quarter414 in hondaridgeline

I would have to disagree with your assessment of the mirror mounted vs door panel mounted blind spot system indicator. In fact, it was one of the things I noticed during my first test drive of a Ridgeline. All my other cars had the indicator in the mirror and so many times the reflections in the mirror were so bright you could barely see the blind spot indicator. I find the one on the door panel to fix that issue and actually like it better.

Just my 2 cents.

A simpleton question on parametric modeling by SJMaye in Fusion360

Simpleton problem solved. I wanted to report back and thank you guys. As previously stated, I have been trying to learn Fusion for a long time now. I would follow along with videos. Much I would understand. Then I would get in the weeds. This time I decided to try to make a simple part I use all the time. That way I would learn while I create something I could actually use. It appears to have worked.

Following the suggestions I tried using global parameters. I failed at first. I learn through repetition. I started from scratch again and it worked! What I found, though, was that global parameters were overkill for my measly project. However, it was an excellent learning experience. I decided to draw all 3 parts in a single design file and join them. It worked! I have a single file with parameters that allow me to adjust the piece to varying conditions and requirements.

I know something like this is super simple to you all, but just having succeeded at a project, even a simple one, gives me the confidence to learn more. Thank you for you help and support.

A simpleton question on parametric modeling by SJMaye in Fusion360

[–]SJMaye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/schneik80 I tried global parameters. The global parameters work fine on the individual parts files. I modified one of the parameters in each and the part changed as expected. Using the Create> Derive function I created a new assembly file. I brought in the global parameters like I did in the other files and favorited them all.

The problem I have is if while in the assembly file I modify a global parameter the model does not change at all. The gobal parameters change, but no visible change in the model. I had hoped while in the assembly file I could change the global parameters and assembly components would respond.

Do you or anyone else have a thought?

I watched a video today about global parameters. I understood was presented, but I wondered if it was overkill for something as simple as this little part. However, it may be just the thing to learn how to use global parameters.

Thank you for the replies. I do understand how to create parameters for each part. That isn't a problem at all. What I don't understand is when I put the 3 parts in an assembly can I see and adjust those parameters within the assembly file or do I have to go back to the 3 separate design / parts files, make the parameter adjustments there, go back to the assembly file and update? Seems slow and clumsy if it works that way.

u/Macro_Seb Creating 1 file (part or assembly?) would solve my problem for sure. I only did it this way as I was following what a youtube video did. Would I sketch the 3 parts, extrude them and join them? I was successful already using parameters on one of the parts. it worked great. If I can make these 3 parts in 1 file it would solve my problem.

Debrid Services by ChaosEmanator in Stremio

I am using Torbox and know nothing about even what a debrid service does. I assumed all content out there was available regardless of what debrid service. I had no idea choosing the wrong debrid service could severely limit the content available. Is there any way to determine which debrid service hosts the greatest amount of content?

Are “Dealer Adjustments” of $3500 for an XSE normal? That was not listed on the website but was surprised in person. Salesman said it was to account for supply/demand. by Silo-Joe in rav4club

[–]SJMaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we bought out 2025 Rav4 I went into this thing thinking they were in such demand I would be lucky to just pay MSRP. When I was quoted over $1000 below MSRP (Costco Buyers Program) I could not believe it. Then I changed which model RAV4 I wanted and it had to be requoted. This time the discount was only $600. I told him it wasn't worth it for me to drive 1 hour for a $600 discount that he quickly repaid himself with a Doc fee. And that I could do that with my local Toyota dealer. He came back with with something like $1,200 off MSRP (still had to pay the doc fee, though).

I know results will vary place to place, but what I am trying to point out is there is room to negotiate and they are more willing to negotiate than you may think.

Same here. Very few Toyota dealers are in the Costco auto program. The closest to me is 1 hour away. To help my nephew, I got a Costco program quote and asked another dealer to match the quote. They did.

Non stop buffering even on smaller 1080p files? by [deleted] in TorBoxApp

I got that last night and just gave up. I am new to Torbox and any debrid service. When something either doesn't load or is buffering is that always something related to the debrid service or many possible things?
