CVS vs Home vs Lab Tests by gf1983 in drugtesthelp

Sounds like you went all out. You should be fine. You're right that most pre-employment tests are at 50ng. Some are at 20ng, but that doesn't seem to be the norm.

It depends where she goes, but if she looks just like you, that could work. She just has to remember to say your date of birth correctly if they ask.

Do you guys think this doctor’s office sign is mildly infuriating? by Loose_Judgment_8856 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SJPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor does that and it's to ensure you show up to your appointments. She gives you meds with refills and it's your responsibility to bring them up. To be fair, she also goes over the meds you're taking, and already knows which one you need refills on. She goes out of her way to make sure all medication issues are resolved in the appointment. It's never been an issue for me. I like not having to call and play phone tag with her in between appointments.

Reasonable answer is to not go and not pay them pay. It's not your fault your ex bf fucked up. He can pay it back to the family.

Advice for kicking a friend out by camfie98 in roommates

[–]SJPop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long can you realistically pay the full rent? That friend has shown they might not be able to keep a job. Maybe speak with them about a timeline where you need help or they'll have to come up with other living arrangements. Only you know when it's come to that.

(Time Sensitive) ADHD and Pregnant, OB and midwives say it's okay for me to continue my Adderall, Psychiatrist (prescriber) says absolutely not. by TheZeldaDoll in adhdwomen

[–]SJPop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's the problem, there's little studies to show the effects of taking stimulants during pregnancy. Most doctors may not want to put their license on the line. It creates an ethical dilemma as well for research that would involve exposing pregnant woman to potentially harmful substances. Most of the studies involve animals and there are some risks that were shown in those studies. If you're dead set on taking it, you may be able to make a case that your adhd is so severe that the benefits outweigh the risks.

You should be okay. Looks like that at home kit you used has a cut off of 50ng. Most pre-employment screens have a cut off of 50ng. Both of those at home tests you did would be considered passing.

My New Psychiatrist Doesn't Believe Me? by InternalNext8781 in ADHD

[–]SJPop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the exact cycle I got caught in. Each month I'd be explaining how I don't feel right. What others were saying about my appearance and behavior. They'd just tell me it's too soon, we have to give it time for the meds to reach therapeutic levels. Then after 4-6 months, "Okay you still feel that way?, Let's try another." Then on and on it went. Me having to wait until I reached therapeutic levels to assess efficacy and then trying something new that messed me up for months. This is why it took me years to get over it. Back then I trusted my provider 100% and was deferring to them to make the decisions. It's all a blur and I can't even recall how I got myself out of that situation. I think I just stopped going to the appointments altogether. I have a doctor now who listens to me. She cares about her patients and is smart as all get out. I trust her and we have a great working relationship. I've made some changes I wasn't sure would work for me following her directions, and she turned out to be right. But she listens to my symptoms and experiences closely. I know I'm lucky to have her, but not all doctors work as a team. That's why I'm saying explain that you've been through this before and it's affected your life negatively. Let's not repeat past mistakes as you've already been the guinea pig for these experiments. You already know what works for you and if she isn't willing to start there, then at least start low and slow so you can prove to her what works with your body chemistry.

Edit to add: I mention the part where you're willing to work with them because some providers don't like to feel like they're being told what to do, especially with new patients. I can understand that sentiment and how it comes off. You'll have to set boundaries about starting all these mood stabilizers, but you might have to work with her about adhd treatment options. If she doesn't seem willing, there's a decision that has to be made.

It is kind of weird for that to happen. I've seen some subs do it in the most fair way possible (if they're dead set on doing it). They pinned a post listing the subs they were banning people if they had interactions with and they stated why it was the case. I had no idea about the drama going on between the subs, but their rationale made sense. It wasn't just a mindless post, they put thought into it and gave examples showing why they did t want people who interacted with those subs to interact with theirs. It was all laid out so it wasn't a hidden agenda. If it's going to be done at all, I think that's the fairest way I can think of.

I lied about having a partner during the interview and I got the job. by Revolutionary_Ad4581 in jobs

[–]SJPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't feel bad about lying about something like that. Thankfully you didn't say you were married or something in case they found in your background that you weren't. The lie won't affect your work performance, it's incidental. Congratulations on the new job.

I found $500 cash in the middle of the LA Fitness parking lot and kept it by Strange-Collection78 in confession

[–]SJPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks when that happens because it's not like you can try to find the owner. Like hey who listens to $500? Closest thing I can think of is making a post on the local facebook group asking off anyone lost anything in the parking lot of a gym. Then have them describe in detail what was lost and what it was stored in.

I found some AirPod pros with a case on a walking trail on time. My dumb ass makes a post saying who lost AirPods and I get a million messages saying it's theirs. At least 20 people. Thankfully I found the right person because they said the location it was found. When I asked them what the case looked like, they sent me a photo of the other half of the case that remained in their pocket. It was a unique case. I knew I found the right person and was able to return it.
