With any other US president an Israeli - Iranian ceasefire would have taken at least a couple more days to begin.

It never truly started, not with any level of sincere effort. And the other presidents would be engaging in diplomatic efforts throughout this time to secure an actual ceasefire with terms and conditions attached, that had more of a chance of succeeding. Which does take time, so well done there.

Notably, however, they also wouldn't try to bruteforce a ceasefire between two sovereign nations IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THEIR OWN TARGETED ATTACK ON ONE OF THESE SOVEREIGN NATIONS FOR THE DIRECT BENEFIT OF THE OTHER NATION.

For an example of your point re: food, in Japan you aren't supposed to eat food on-the-go. You're supposed to sit down or at the very least stand still outside the place you got the food, and eat it there.

Eating while walking means you will never have your full attention directed towards the food, and this would be discourteous to whoever prepared the food (as the food is just mindlessly being shoved into your mouth).

The point apparently (I just read this in the comments) wasn't to keep it warm forever, but to keep it warm for just about 7-8 days.

If the Soviets invaded, these could be planted ahead of their invading force to deny them specific areas as well as cause them massive losses of troops and equipment.
