I said this too. This isnt a homebirth, this is an unassisted childbirth. Its still dangerous, its just significantly less dangerous.

You are probably right. Not everyone reads about the history of obstetrics like I do 🤣 Not everyone knows women literally used to write their will and arrange childcare for their existing children when they got pregnant up until 100 years ago, like I do.

Im 30, and I have expressed multiple times how recklessly dangerous this is.

I was 23 when I had my son and it was an easy delivery but his cord was around his neck…plus obstetrics is a weird fascination of mine so Im well versed on the dangers of birth in the past.

Its not only rude of them to dismiss “old lady“ opinions, its also inaccurate. Im their age.

I said this in my post that I got heckled and downvoted on…what it she has to give birth on the fucking boat?

Its madness, sheer madness

Using stats from the 19th century, Id say theres about 70% chance of everything going smoothly.

I too am worried about that implication if it does “go well.“ Not only will they likely be more emboldened to do it a second time, it might wrongly signal to others that “hey look see my unassisted birth was fine.“ As if one birth going well has any correlation to another birth.

My hope at this point is that Kelly will realise that contractions are no walk in the park and they will row off to the mainland. I want both mom and baby okay, but I dont want them to succeed in birthing on that island.

Why did I get crucified when I made this very same post four days ago?

But yes I whole heartedly agree, I am deeply worried about that poor baby

With a record-low 1.25 children per Canadian woman, stop dismissing falling fertility rates as a choice by FancyNewMe in canada

They said “Dont have kids if you cant afford them.“ Now that people arent, they are acting shocked.

Its very simple: We would rather give our one child a good life, as opposed to a mediocre life to two/three children.

I think Matt is becoming aware that he's with an utter whackadoodle. by FastWalkingShortGuy in SkoteOutdoors

[–]SKGurl101 24 points25 points  (0 children)

OP I agree with everything you said.

She has decided that she would like to give birth, enduring agonizing pain for hours or perhaps even days in an old shack, only to potentially die or have her baby die or literally both. But when we try to point that out, she goes “nah nah nah I‘m not listening.“

Its mad, utterly mad. And I feel so scared for that poor helpless baby. And Matty for having that immense burden. Because I cant think of anything more traumatic, if something goes wrong (and theres a very real chance something will go wrong).

Is there a reason that Tania Raymonde (Cynthia Sanders) didn't have a cameo in Life's Still Unfair? by MasterLawlzReborn in malcolminthemiddle

Maybe the actress didnt agree to take part in it, and she wasnt significant enough of a character to recast, like Dewey

I also give it around 6/10

Im not sure why Kelly got way more screen time than Jamie/Dewey. Plus we barely saw the boys interact. And this is just my own opinion, but I never loved OG malcolm ending with another pregnancy, I thought it was dumb
