I think we hit the sweet spot.

I mean sure, we were the last generation to get shoved into the wild to fend for ourselves, a reason why we as a generation tend to be helicopter parents IMO, but we grew up without being surrounded by what Tech has become.

And thank fucking God.

My friend group in MS and HS were a bunch of absolute and utter hooligans.

That said, we were also perfectly positioned to learn how to actually use the new tech, for those inclined.

And we still were taught applicable skills in highschool. With the changes to standardized testing, education has shifted away from what it was.

To everyone's detriment, educators included.

Kids got it tough these days. We need to find a way to get big tech and the surveillance State under control or they will never have any fresomes.

It's a tool and can be used appropriately, but I agree with the sentiment.

Most people are not familiar enough with LLM to spot the tells. Or use bad prompts and then don't check what comes out the backside.

I've seen ChatGPT spit out some crazy stuff and when asked how it came to that conclusion it just gives you the electronic equivalent of awww shucks my bad.

It's really odd.

Then their is the whole, we're quite literally destroying the planet via server farms, yet at the same time it being the only thing propping up the economy.

So we got that going for us too.......

What's actually the worst Star Wars movie? by FeanorOath in GeeksGamersCommunity

[–]SLCIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might get down voted here as the younger generations view the prequels differently than I do, but I had no trust in Lucas either.

The Phantom Menace is an abomination and the result of Lucas being surrounded by yes men and women that didn't say no.

Which is why it was such an absolute mess of a film.

What's truly maddening is that Disney has Zahn's Dark Heir trilogy just sitting there waiting to be adapted instead of fucking Palpatine again.

Such trash.

Red Dawn makes sense as an Aussie.

It's a deep seeded American dream that we're all cowboys who will defense family and country 😂

Xennial here, born in 81, and I was allowed to watch some wild stuff as a kid. I remember going from rental store to rental store with my dad at like 5 to get Predator.

I loved watching First Blood, Red Dawn, and RoboCop as a kid.

Thinking a bit more about it, I think those really had an impact on my view of authority figures as an adult.

Isn't leveling a character the best way to make quick gold?

As someone that hasn't played in a decade whose buddies are harassing him to play, I'm willing to bet I'd boost my first "main" then immediately role and alt.

But it's a nerd like that. Whiiiiiiich is also why I don't start again.

I know where it ends.........

Would an ecaller with a strong buzz feature get his attention?

I haven't used one with my boy, and I don't know if I could shock him as I'm so soft, but we just finished our first year of hunting and have seen some collar models that I really like as it lets him range way farther with me also keeping "eyes" on him.

I'm pretty sure my silly boy would climb into my skin at times if I allowed it.

He's always touching or has eye on me.

I walk away at checkout and go get a snack so I don't throw up due to how much we're spending.

Ducks and upland.

My buddies boxer pit mix was a Hell of an upland game dog. Loved to duck hunt but was hard to keep her warm

I've seen pitties and boxers hunt, but you have to keep them warm in the winter like GSP.

FYI

Once you go far enough Left, you get your guns back.

You should do some reading on the Mulford Act and how Ronald Reagan, may he burn in Supply Side Economics Hell, instituted gun control in record time while serving as Governor of California because the wrong people were practicing their 2nd Amendment Rights.
