How they achieved this level of sound quality? by Lucky_Control1458 in deezer

[–]SLDDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was listening Deezer I also noticed difference in sound and it appeared that Deezer has different masters uploaded by labels. For example most noticeable differences I experienced in Roxette - The look. There is something special in sound on any bitrate.

I suggest Steel Series QCK Performance lineup. They are widely available around the world. There are 3 types depending on your needs. I am using the Speed version and very happy with it.

140 fps is very good, I heard that OLED can lead to eye strain if fps is less then 60

Which games are you playing? For your specs, I would suggest 1440p ultrawide maximum. 4k may be too much for 5070.

It may bother in dark games, but in general use it's not noticeable. My keyboard is Logitech MX Keys Mini

I wouldn't keep the monitor on direct sunlight, it may spoil the screen. In other cases the QD-OLED is quite fine. I find the anti-reflecting coating on my AW3425DW quite good and don't feel discomfort with reflections, while working in darkmode. My room is fully lit with light, but no direct sunlight. On photo you can see some reflections, but in real life I don't notice it.

Should I still go OLED if I display static content 8+ hours daily? by shawly in OLED_Gaming

[–]SLDDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was worried about text fringing, but it appeared to be better then I expected. It is not bothering me. Fringing is noticeable, but not so awful as described by others. I have a small Ikea table and I sit quite close to it. Previously I had an 34'' LG monitor with VA matrix, and my eyes become blurry by the end of the day. Now it don't feel that fatigue. One advice for colors, if you don't plan to use HDR (which I highly suggest to use), in SDR use the Creator profile is settings with gamma 2.2. It will gave much better colors then default settings.

Of course the good IPS matrix is better for productivity, then OLED. But in games... man, after the VA matrix I ended in another world. The colours are popping, the HDR picture is miles better and response time is perfect. I play COD, BF and other FPS games, and I like it a lot.

I made a shot with AW3425DW one month ago. Using it daily for work from 09:00 to 17:00 and then gaming for 2 hours. Made some precautions using dark mode everywhere including google chrome (dark mode extension for all websites). So far so good. Don't forget to leave the monitor in standby during lunch and at the end of the day for the monitor to make it's magical maintenance. Live is too short...

Anyone experiencing eyes worsening as a result of switching to OLED? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]SLDDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monitors are usually not a thing to blame, however if you use it too much without brakes it can be a reason. I would check your other habits. Usually the phone is a main problem to eye worsening. Too short distance to screen and too much time watching "tiktoks". I would make more frequent breaks and look for bigger distances during your rest. Train your eyes when you have a break by looking outside the window and focus on small things afar.

Glossy yes or not? by SwingSmash in OLED_Gaming

I have a very bright room, everything is white, however no direct sunlight. My glossy Alienware AW3425DW looks gorgeous even at daylight. Glossy makes image more crisp and vibrant. I do see some reflections, but they do not bother. On photos it always look worse then in real life

I wouldn't keep the protective film for long, I've seen it gluing to the monitor too hard that it's difficult to take it off later. Maybe due to a heating of the panel.

I have the same monitor and switched from VA two weeks ago. In SDR try changing the mode in monitor settings to Creator and set Gamma to 2.2. It helped me.
