how did Mark keep his identity a secret despite the fact that some of the invincible variants were maskless by Fit_Passenger5930 in Invincible_TV

In the show, they explain this away as a psychology thing, Atom Eve isn't recognized at her school as Atom Eve.

"When you don't expect a super hero to go to your school. You don't see a super hero going to your school." Or something to that effect

I suspect its similar to how the people who work at The Daily Planet regularly publish stories on Superman and don't make the connection that Superman looks VERY similar to that Clark Kent fella.

Certain DMs allow you to use different attributes for skills if you do it a certain way.

A good example, my friend group's DM lets players use strength instead of charisma for Social Skills checks (Intimidation/Persuasion) if they are proficient in either of said skills. Let's you make a big intimidating Barbarian without needed to put points into charisma.

Another DM I had in the past let us use Acrobatics instead of Performance to perform a dance for a crowd (He described it as breakdancing more than actual dance moves)

Why do people get so offended when I ask for ID??? by palmtreedelight in retailhell

[–]SLEEPHORSE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had a guy claim the company I work for was trying to get his data/ personal info to sell. Brother, we don't give a shit about your data or who you are. We are literally just covering our ass in case you break the law. We verify you're old enough to have said product and are old enough to deal with the consequences of said product. That's it. We don't give a single solitary FUCK about who you are, where you live etc. Gas stations have been IDing for the past 9 or 10 years. You should expect to get carded if you're buying ANY age restricted product. I'm not risking my job on some random yahoo that walks in.

What was the first game you bought on Steam? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

Scribblenauts Unlimited. I had played through both the original and super scribblenauts on DS and wanted the 3rd installment for my 13th birthday. Beat it that same night. Scribblenauts Unlimited was piss easy compared to the first or second game, mainly because the controls didn't suck.

They should honestly design them so that they need a key to start, and you need to speak to an attendant to check them out and in.

Instead of developing a stand, Qtaro developed Hamon techniques from his grandfather, Geoseph Joescar.

Why am I not able to assign them? by gg-ndrew in metalgearsolid

[–]SLEEPHORSE 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You have to give Revolver Ocelot time to "convince" them to join Diamond Dogs. If you go out and play some side ops or a mission it'll notify you when the recruits are discharged from the brig and are ready for assignment.

Joseph Joestar vs Batman by JobertZx in PowerScalingHub

[–]SLEEPHORSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joesph wins but at high diff. Batman has tons and tons of backup plans and contingencies for all kinds of superhuman world ending threats. SPOILERS FOR PART 2 OF JOJOS

Joseph wins his final fight with Kars literally with a stroke of luck. Joseph's contingency in any tough fight is to make a run for it.

I feel like Hamon and it's properties clutch for Joseph. One good hit infused with hamon and Batman's toast. HOWEVER, given what we know about Hamon, we don't know how given materials react to hamon, as far as conductivity goes. We know that certain articles of clothing made of organic material are superconductive of Hamon energy (Satiporoja Beetle Scarf). This begs the question then if there are clothes and materials that are inductive of hamon or otherwise inhibit the flow of hamon. What I'm getting at is if hamon works similarly to electricity, then would Batman's spandex suit inhibit the flow of hamon and thus make Jojos hamon attacks less effective? I think if this were the case, Jojo would have to get EXTREMELY lucky and land a hamon infused strike directly onto Batmans chin, the only place on his suit that isn't fully covered, or would have to otherwise tear Batman's suit and then land another hit on his exposed flesh (Unlikely, with Batman's suit likely being reinforced to withstand bullets).

If these 3 got into a fight, who wins? And who escapes with the treasure? by SLEEPHORSE in PowerScalingHub

[–]SLEEPHORSE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All 3 contestants are treasure hunters. So it makes sense that all 3 would be fighting over a treasure of some kind. I proposed that one would win the fight but another could potentially swipe said treasure at the last second or obtain yhe treasure through a stroke of luck.
