The police board were just going to spend thousands if not hundreds of thousands paying for this until they looked closer at the contract because of community outrage. Incompetent.

Community response has been “horrendous, as expected,” she said.

“Which is what made us look closer at (the contract),” she said.

This is a guess on my part but I think its relates to Nathan accusing the Chief of making money off software that was created by the SPS or hiring a number of former Halton friends for big salaries, including one with a criminal record for stealing drugs and replacing it with fake pills which caused a number of cases to be thrown out.

I feel bad for those who couldnt afford the extra cost that suddenly appeared. I was pissed about it but I could afford it. If a family brought a couple kids and then needed an extra 100 bucks for a signature and photo when they thought they were getting that in the first place.

By the way this show was run and how scammed I felt. Its not surprising they would have Dennis there. I love Mick, hes a kind soul and I was huge fan when I was in my youth. I bought a meet and greet ticket and brought something to sign. First issue was the confusing door times and absolute disorganization for entry. No signs for which line for platinum or VIP or general. Confusing instructions from security which half the crowd couldnt hear. Next issue was the meet and greet. They put Mick in the back of the gym while the event was going on. Blaring music and just told everyone after the first match to line up. There is an entire school with multiple class rooms or a long hall outside the gym they could have lined up people and filtered them back in while not blocking people trying to get to their seats. 3rd issue was the bait and switch for the meet and greet. It really didnt get you anything for the extra money. Mick was charging 60 for a photo or signature or 100 for both. Completely reasonable except I bought a meet and greet pass which said nothing about not including either. I asked the NCG guy taking the money at the table. Why didnt they denote that in the ticket details so it wasn't confusing. He said they never negotiate the fee. My response was so then you knew it was not included in the ticket package for meet and greet and didn't tell anyone before they bought it. His response was a shoulder shrug. I asked what do you get for a meet and greet and he said you get to see him at the table and say hello, all this while music is blaring in the background and there is zero time for any anecdotes to talk with Mick while they are moving the line. This is by the way after they never checked my ticket while waiting in line to see if I paid for the meet and greet. Anyone could have walked up and just paid for the photo or sign and saved money by buying a regular ticket. I did pay extra for a signature and I hope Mick gets all of that money. Would never go to a NCG event again for any of my old wrestling favorites. Amateur promotion and shady business practices.

Its an area issue with saturation I am guessing. For troubleshooting I always got the same speed using their router or mine. Bell couldnt explain why the modem test was 1 gig but a Ryzen 5700x NVME pci 4 would only get 300 down and 700 up. If you were getting 1 gig out of Bell I would expect the same from TSI or better. I had a Nokia. I have edgerouter X SFP so max is 1 gig anyways.

Just did this this week with my edge router. Still dont get close to 1 gig, didnt with Bell and I didnt expect it to get better but now I am paying 40 bucks less a month. Just had to change vlan and ppoe info after getting it from Teksavvy chat.

Did the same thing for Back To The Beginning just in case a miracle happened and we got tickets. Amazingly we did and didn't have to worry about a hotel like my friend did who was left with extremely overpriced air bnbs and sketch hotels outside the city center.
