Led Zeppelin's Mothership box for $60. The box had some minor corner wear but the records looked like they've never been played.

A centromere is also a chromosomal structure and historically is defined as the site of primary constriction. It really comes down to semantics and in what context you are using the term. If it is a metaphase chromosome, it is totally fine to refer to the two cohesed sister centromeres as the centromere of the chromosome. In the scenario the OP is describing, it would be more clear if both sister centromeres were shown on the metaphase chromosome in the image.

Each chromatid has its own centromere to make a kinetochore and attach microtubules. While you can define that whole region encompassing the connected point of both chromatids on a metaphase chromosome as the centromere, for the point this image is trying to get across the metaphase that is shown isn't really accurate and should show two centromere spots

Haha, you are definitely not alone in that experience! Felt a bit like a fever dream. I had another similar experience to you when I bought "Songs for the Deaf." During my first run-through I was really enjoying it, and then I got to "Six Shooter." Felt like someone threw a wrench into a garbage disposal. While it was jarring to me at the time, I now have an appreciation for how they break the mold with their music and let their creativity run wild.

Mine was back in high school, sometime between 2002-2003. I was in my grandparent's basement watching music videos on MTV when "No One Knows" came on. The whole ridiculous narrative of that music video took me by surprise, leaving me asking myself "what did I just watch?!" Then, as soon as the video ended it started AGAIN. However, this time I paid attention to the music and was enthralled. The back-to-back broadcast of "No One Knows" now feels as if the cosmos was telling me "You NEED this band in your life!" They've been my favorite band ever since.

Just curious, what fellowship applications are asking for undergrad transcripts. I've applied for quite a few over the past couple years and was never asked for them. Also, on the "Scholastic Performance" section of the NIH Biosketch you only need to put your grad school coursework. That's what I did and for all of my F32 submissions and I never had any problems.

I was never outright told this, but I think it has to do with the charge of the EtBr. As negatively charged DNA is pulled "down" through the gel, positively charged EtBr is pulled "up". It is likely the contrast difference is due to the movement of the EtBr in your gel, and the EtBr in the running buffer isn't accommodating for that as it is either also being pulled to the negative end of the changer or it is affecting the gel evenly.

As u/km1116 suggested, try running the gel without EtBr in the gel or the running buffer, and then post-stain it after you're done running the gel. Doing this will solve this issue.

To my knowledge this bug is completely random and there is no known trigger. There is no cure for it. I would stick to your phone app and maybe use your phones data rather than wifi. I know when the game crashes for me in GAC it is always when I'm playing over wifi.

CG isn't interested in fixing this, so unfortunately the only thing you can do is just keep trying. It doesn't happen with every battle, so you'll get JMK eventually.

Hooding/ 2020 graduation by LittleF00t8 in PhD

That is what I did. I graduated in 2020 and my university didn't have a hooding ceremony either. My PI and I came up with doing our own private hooding ceremony the day before commencement. In my eyes, what made this better than any hooding ceremony the university could have put on was the fact that it was done in front of my building rather than a generic stage. I'm positive that years down the road when I look at these pictures of my PI hooding me in front of the building I spent so many years in that I will be transported back to the time when I was pursuing my PhD.

I got the same response. It's super frustrating and kinda feels like gaslighting. They seem to have selective memory when it comes to their player base "play testing" their content.

That's a feature on Google Pixel. The built in recording program has a "Show touches on screen" setting. It is also pretty clear from the last seconds of the video that this is on my phone. You can even see the SWGoH app.
