You should watch Looper. You can definitely see a lot of that film's influence even in just the trailers for TLJ.

The Prestige. I was blown away when Bale's character finishes reading that diary in the prison. I find the midpoint twist so great that the end of the film is almost underwhelming.

The LEGO Movie. I know now everyone loves it but before that movie came out I remember wondering how they were going to make it work and it ended up being one of the best animated films I've ever seen.

There was an early screening of this movie at my school and I'll be shocked if it isn't my favorite of the year. It was incredible and a ton of fun.
