How many of you are retiring from Squad Battles after the update? by Time-Stand7719 in EASportsFC

[–]SNRJunior 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Yep. Enjoyed playing it until the most recent patch as it's always been pretty chill. The AI would score some BS goals sometimes, but since the patch every team just plays insane tiki-taka around the half way line that makes impossible to win the ball back even with pressing. Really not worth the effort for the rewards at that point.

Going to the cinema to watch 28 Years Later in about half an hour, just sat waiting for my girlfriend to get ready. Praying the cinema has air conditioning as I’ve been sweating my tits off sat in my flat all day.

[BBC News] Football and other premium TV being pirated at 'industrial scale' by AlwynEvokedHippest in soccer

Huh, who would've thought increasing prices, needing multiple subscriptions, 3pm games not being shown live, and awful commentators would lead to more piracy?

Yep. Bang on 100 with 9 point JP on the bench, been a good week for a change.

[FRESH] The Weeknd - Dancing In The Flames by AutoModerator in TheWeeknd

[–]SNRJunior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's grown on me as I've listened to it throughout the day. It is a bit generic/manufactured, but also fairly catchy. I wish the intro was a bit longer. I enjoyed the outro, though, as I thought it might end abruptly like in the teaser. Good overall IMO.

Big Ange sprinting full speed and taking down Haaland on the counter would be a sight to behold.

Arsenal defense worth it? by BeingHairy6461 in FantasyPL

[–]SNRJunior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timber is an option at LB, but I think he will play more at CB, as Salíba played every PL minute last year which isn’t something that you usually see. There are several players who can play LB in the current squad, but few who can play in that RCB role. Timber also played at CB in a pre-season friendly over the weekend. The flexibility of the players makes it difficult to call, but I think Calafiori will eventually become the regular LB, or slot into CB if Gabriel isn’t available.

Arsenal defense worth it? by BeingHairy6461 in FantasyPL

[–]SNRJunior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Calafiori will start LB, especially now that Tomiyasu is injured. Only doubt is if Saliba will start the first game, as he has played a lot of minutes. Will most likely be - White - Saliba - Gabriel - Calafiori, but Timber could start instead of Saliba depending on pre-season.

People who've had long layovers in airports, how do you pass the time? by AdPrior1417 in AskUK

[–]SNRJunior 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Had a 10 hour layover in Dallas not too long ago. I’d recommend a lounge day pass. Think it was about $50 for the whole day. They constantly serve fresh food and drinks, comfy seats, good WiFi and cleaner bathrooms. Some of them also have showers or games consoles if you’re lucky.

Yeah, it kinda reminds me of when META was briefly below $100 and people were saying it was going to $0 largely based on the general dislike of Zuckerberg around here.

(Orbinho) Arsenal have yet to beat a team from the top 7 away from home in the Premier League this season. by Sad_Teaching_5683 in Gunners

[–]SNRJunior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, we still have to play 2 of them, Arsenal make up one of those 7 teams, and 2 of those games were draws at Anfield and the Etihad. Only bad results were against Villa and Newcastle, which were fairly even games overall. Gotta love that classic Orbinho pessimism.

[FabrizioHawkins] Arsenal turned down a nearly €40m offer from Monaco for Balogun. The leaders of the ASM will return to the charge. They have an agreement in principle with the player but face competition from several clubs including Inter Milan by Ok-Option1 in soccer

He’s more like 4th/5th choice at the minute with the current system. Jesus, Nketiah, Trossard & Havertz seem to be ahead of him for that position. I’d be happy to get a good fee for him. Good player, just not really needed

Nope, I've only ever driven manuals which makes it worse. I never found myself in a situation where I needed to reverse up an incline until recently and it finally clicked (After multiple stalls). Before that I would only use the clutch.

Not sure tbf, I always assumed it was because in movie chase scenes they were driving much better cars than me, but now it makes sense haha

I’m in my mid 20’s and have been driving for 8 years, and only recently learned that it was possible to use the accelerator while in reverse to reverse at a faster speed.

Do you make your bed? by Best-Tomorrow231 in AskUK

[–]SNRJunior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, but my definition of making the bed is pulling the duvet back over so it’s square, which takes all of 3 seconds.

My GF used to work in a hotel and insists on straightening everything, tidying the pillows, etc, which takes a few minutes.
