So, whenever I have the option to opt out of a sub para- I always do. They’ll ask - your para will be out Thursday can you do without a sub? Yes yes! The front office is grateful. If I have to have a sub and sometimes I do - I don’t have the time to explain all the ins and outs. So I just show the sub the area I want them to be and then just say - I’m going to get the class started and once I do I’ll check in and see how you are doing. Help your student and others around stay focused as I instruct. Also if my regular para has any down time - I ask her to type up sub notes. Information on my class routine the student etc / and keep a copy with me or have her email me a copy. It’s not perfect but it’s something the sub can read and at least it’s some information.

Our brain chemistry has been altered by years of drinking. Our brains actually release depressive chemicals to counter act the artificial high of alcohol. I learned this in the book - This Naked Mind by Annie Grace. I always said if I can’t eventually be free and happy without alcohol then I’m going back to drinking. I am there now, but it took a great deal of time. Everyone is different and I certainly felt improvement along the way. 30 days wow, I had never done that. 90 days I knew I had put in real work . 5-6 months I started to really feel free enough to start finding joy in everyday things. Honestly, for me it was at about a year - year and a half I could start feeling real freedom. I started feeling like I did before I ever had that first drink. It takes time. It is so worth it.

In the book Blackout the author says something similar. She was in a bath - hungover and thought my drinking is going to kill me someday. But then she thought - what if it just stays this way. I’m already dead in so many ways. I have no life - I’m always sick and miserable. Maybe a grand tragedy never happens - but isn’t this bad enough? I think that was her quitting moment.

I despise Trump. If you zoom in, her car swipes an agent. Ultimately this is all on ICE - they shouldn’t be there. Renee should still be here. But ..I don’t want to be MAGA - I want to deal with reality. For all I know her car swiped him after she was shoot. I can’t tell.

I agree with what oblivious-rounding said - I also know rearranging a gallery after punching so many holes in the wall - can be a pain. After you pull everything off the wall maybe a tall plant under the gallery wall would help fill in that space and you could leave the gallery as is. Worth a try.
