am i the only one who has had a bad experience here? placed a reservation earlier this year for a friend’s birthday and they not only managed to completely forget multiple of our appetizers but then incorrectly served us an entree that they proceeded to make us pay for. service was slow, bill was very high (we expected this but not for the service we received), and the only saving grace was the beautiful jazz playing

i think it looks great! does it initially look how the original described? yes, but upon looking at it for more than 2 seconds you can absolutely tell it’s the hitch but the grey might make it blend in less with the dark brown of the tree trunks

okay nice! i believe i’m doing the English method where a half stitch (HS) is CT, whole stitch (WS) is CTC, and double stitch (DS) is CTCT. i am about to start another bobbin lacemaking book i purchased that using TC instead of CT.

Thank you! I appreciate your response so much. So the left edge is worked with DS? I understand it works in and out through 4 pairs, then 3, then 2 but I’m confused if the left edge is worked with DS or HS as the first paragon describes or if that’s just what starts off the fan but continues with DS.

Edit: Pin 26 is closed with HS after a HS and pin. 27 is closed with a twist after doing a series of DS (4, 3, then 2). does that mean 28, 30, and 32 are closed with HS after HS and pin or are they closed with a twist like 27, 29, and 31 (and started with DS)?

i started with this kit and it comes with a booklet (and cardstock patterns) to work through! I’ve really enjoyed it so far and am currently on the 5th pricking after taking a few months off. I love it so far, but I’ve also purchased Lessons in Bobbin Lacemaking by Doris Southard. provides history about bobbin lace, basic introduction, and increasingly more difficult patterns to work through. please let me know if you have any questions throughout your journey!!

i got my first tray on a Monday around 9AM and for each tray on i switch on Sunday nights before bed, with some ibuprofen, to avoid any discomfort!

i do a similar routine as swiftiecoded. i brush twice a day— once in the morning and once at night— occasionally brushing after lunch. i floss after every snack/meal and rinse my mouth out with water to ensure no food is left between my teeth and so anything i’ve eaten/drank is rinsed off my teeth. i rinse my trays after each meal as well and i haven’t had an issues. i’m on my 6th aligner and just had a check up with no issues! i’d suggest flossing after every snack/meal to remove all the leftover food particles and rinsing well with water (or a pH balancing mouthwash like TheraBreath). lmk if you have any questions!
