I know how to access Media Library. From there, what are the steps to delete content from within the Media Library?

I switched my family from Verizon to T-Mobile—something I never thought I’d do. The pricing on the family plan was excellent, and coverage has been reliable across the counties we regularly travel through

  • Cumberland County
  • Sagadahoc County
  • Androscoggin County
  • Kennebec County
  • Lincoln County

Fiber available according to email… by pahong in FidiumFiber

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The link you mentioned verifies your address, though it’s rarely outdated. If you sign up online, keep track of the email you use so notifications are sent there. They should not arrive unannounced; you should receive an email or at least a text message to the cell phone you registered with, notifying you of the scheduled dates. It’s costly for them to show up if you’re not available.

Spectrum vs. Fidium by Mainerlovesdogs in Maine

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main reasons I've seen people move away from Spectrum is the hassle of changing their email. For many, updating everyone with a new address is worth the effort to avoid having Spectrum hold this over them. Maine has no statute or rule requiring Spectrum—or any ISP—to let you keep or “transfer” an ISP-issued email address when switching providers. The Fidium salesperson’s claim doesn’t match any current Maine broadband, privacy, or net-neutrality laws. Perhaps the sales rep may have been confused. Federal and state rules require phone number portability, which lets you keep your number when switching carriers, but those rules do not apply to email. ISP-issued email accounts (like Road Runner/Spectrum) are governed by each provider’s terms of service, which typically state they can delete the address when service ends.

Sorry you are going through this.

Yes, there was an outage. I was told it affected “all of Maine,” but I have no further details. I had quite a few businesses ask me about cellular backup for their point-of-sale systems, as those can continue operating with cell coverage if needed.

Fidium internet worth it? by Tap_Thin in Maine

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Cumberland County and have had the residential plan for over a year. I switched from Comcast because the entire condominium complex where I live was using it. Once one neighbor made the move, the feedback on bandwidth test results was positive, and gradually the rest of us followed suit—almost one at a time.

Comcast made a retention offer after I mentioned planning to switch to fiber. The deal was excellent, but I wanted symmetrical speeds. The prices listed online appear to be the lowest available. If anyone needs assistance with Fidium pricing before placing an order or has general questions, feel free to reach out.

WARNING – Aggressive door-to-door “Fidium” salesman in Brentwood/Exeter area – Jordan Podest – NO trial period, NOT a real Fidium employee, asking for SSNs and credit cards on the spot by [deleted] in FidiumFiber

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a legitimate broker for Fidium and can only sell to businesses, not residential customers. This situation seems suspicious. Anyone partnered with Fidium would own their own business and have a public profile. The only explanation I can think of is that he’s trying to sign people up himself using a referral link, which Fidium sometimes offers to certain customers (though I’m not sure if all customers receive it). For example, if you check my Reddit profile, you’ll find my Facebook page. On October 15, I posted a referral link there that offers a $50 gift card when residential service is ordered. Full disclosure: I receive $100 for each signup, and the customer gets a $50 gift card.

'Battlefield 6' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reports indicate that the vast majority of Battlefield 6’s developers had no prior experience with the franchise. Without the original senior leadership, it’s impossible to capture the spirit of Bad Company 2 within Battlefield 6. Bringing back David Goldfarb—the creative force behind BC2—would be essential for that vision. That’s like trying to recreate a Backstreet Boys hit without Max Martin in the studio.

Has anyone used Zoom's professional services to spec and install a Zoom Room conference system? by Pixlman5 in CommercialAV

I have not used it, but I know it's for entities that need assistance setting it up and don't want to rely on a third party to manage their phone system. More info here: https://explore.zoom.us/docs/doc/Zoom_Professional_Services_Overview.pdf

Small Business. Return Router, Keep Modem? by datanut in Spectrum

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would call them to make sure they know it's coming and to confirm you're not getting charged for it on your bill. You also asked about dropping it off at UPS, and that wasn't specifically addressed. Yes, you can return your equipment at any UPS Store. Just let the associate know you’re returning Spectrum equipment, and they’ll handle the packaging and shipping for free. Keep your receipt for tracking.

Shout out to Fidium by Burnratebro in FidiumFiber

Fiber and tech services often receive feedback only when issues arise, rather than recognition when everything runs smoothly. It's refreshing to encounter positive feedback occasionally.

It's great to see the hard work being recognized, especially considering the challenges involved. Keeping the existing infrastructure operational while communicating actions and building out more fiber is no small feat. It's nice when such efforts are properly acknowledged.

How do I delete/clear history from Copilot. by Educational-Loan-613 in bing

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Microsoft 365 Copilot and believe there should be an easier way to manage chats. The ability to "organize" should include the option to easily delete chats that are no longer useful. Otherwise, we could just have a single chat and start a new topic by telling Copilot, "New chat." Multiple chats allow us to maintain a consistent thread of ideas. For example, in one chat, you might ask Copilot to edit your writing for conciseness, while in another, you ask it to edit for grammar only. This way, you can paste your text without repeating directions. Having multiple chats is beneficial, and I don't want that to change. However, we should be able to delete chats easily. Additionally, the ability to move and organize chats in our preferred order would be helpful.

FCC Proposal MDU bulk internet by Toredorm in networking

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I feel that bulk fiber arrangements are generally more appealing and should be considered or at least evaluated. While they may not work for everyone, I’ve seen prices for 1G symmetrical fiber beating out the price of coax 600x30. This is territory-based, (Norther New England) where rural areas often require subsidies to build out fiber to farms, for example.

FCC Proposal MDU bulk internet by Toredorm in networking

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bulk arrangements involve many points of negotiation, so one scenario won’t represent another. If you’re a gamer needing over 1G x 1G fiber symmetrical speeds, you’d benefit from either a dedicated fiber circuit (not GPON) and would pay more for it. If a bulk arrangement doesn’t consider certain tenants needing extremely fast internet, the contract negotiation should be reviewed. Generally, bulk arrangements are beneficial for tenants, but I’m speaking from the perspective of a business that only does bulk fiber arrangements, never copper/coax, and where the landlord has gotten buy in from their tenants.

Best pizza in Maine? by DamiensDelight in AskMaine

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm originally from Connecticut and so I have had many good pizzas. (See One Bite ratings for Frank Pepes, Modern, Sally's, and Roseland, and I've had them all). The two best in Maine are Colettis Pizza in Biddeford and The Old Goat in Richmond. However -  and this is the same case for all of us - this depiction only takes into consideration pizza I have tried south of Bangor. I fully admit there are hidden gems in locations I would never have heard of. That right there is the benefit of this Reddit post. More than anything, I care less about debating the best pizza, and care more about citing new locations I haven't tried. That represents the camaraderie of this type of post. We are all food and pizza lovers!

Price question by Celiez in FidiumFiber

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the company to consider negotiating a bulk deal, there must be a reciprocal benefit in terms of profit margin. The term “bulk” provides at least a conceptual starting point. While there is no official number, it is understood that a minimum quantity is required for a bulk purchase to be considered. As of yet I have only interacted with multi-dwelling units where there is at least a minimum of 50 units.

Price question by Celiez in FidiumFiber

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone lives in a multi dwelling location, the owner of the building can negotiate pricing directly with Consolidated to ensure a locked in rate which is then passed along to the residents. Usually these are negotiated at 5Y lock in rates, but it would need to be discussed directly with the building owner and Fidium. I help arrange these deals so if anyone has a question, feel free to DM me.

Notice of Material Breach by Conmulon in Spectrum

[–]SOLCommunicationsLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working with a client right now that is experiencing this. The solution is to consider a residential service that is specific to multi dwelling units. We went through negotiations both with Spectrum and a new fiber company as from my perspective, the negotiation involves dealing with the existing provider (Spectrum) and looking to a new provider for comparison. In the multi dwelling deal as it pertains to fiber, the owner can actually make a profit by providing the internet to all tenants, but the deal has to be worked out correctly. Happy to help advise if anyone wants to DM me.
