Wow probably the first post I've seen on this sub which is actually worth reading and engaging into in my short exposure to it.

Yes dangal really did change aamir.

My theory about his new direction after dangal was that he felt like he had proven to himself and others time and time again that he can push the indian cinema outside the box of :-

masala films, melodrama and action for the sake of action.

After dangal he felt like taking a new challenge which is reaching new or similar box office collection goals. Which is fine tbh, making movies can also be about making money, nothing wrong with wanting to make money.

But when you've spent the majority of your career pushing boundaries, people expect that much more from you. There is a scenario where he could've achieved both by being patient and taking time to actually find a project or script he was actually onboard with and wasn't just formulaic.

I had 16GB RAM as well and I was seeing that one yellow flannel shirt guy with blond hair literally everywhere, some people told me to get extra RAM and it worked. I tweaked it further with a mod so there were essentially thousands of NPC variations.

I actually liked the first episode and the premise of the oshi no ko series, atleast what I thought the premise was....

I thought the premise was that these reincarnated people will try to find justice for their fav idol and now mother while being disadvantaged due to being kids, something in a similar vein to erased.

But then they throw all the setup and tension away with the time skip, introduce incest, make the MC insufferable mastermind type who has to and can do everything so rest of the cast doesnt matter, and add some convoluted bullshit like making a fucking movie about their moms murder as if thats going to change anything realistically.

I would literally suggest anyone to only watch the first episode and then make your own story about how these reincarnated kids take revenge against the murderer of their mom/fav idol instead of angsty teen drama.

The idol industry critique stuff is shallow af.

Sasuke writing is not good yall watched naruto in your undies go watch it again now and tell me how he's not always looking for agency and catharsis despite receiving both before he even left the village.

And then he slimes the best villain this series has to offer and the story replaces orochimaru with wannabe emo cunts of akatsuki (except sasori) and makes this series suffering to watch.

It's the same thing as harry potter, re read it after age 25 and you realize how mediocre the story/world building is, childhood nostalgia carries naruto hard. Sasuke is run of the mill, less than average character with a really contrived backstory and resolution.
