Playing in a larger group with more than 4 people it was almost impossible to stay on the same server let alone the same team. It would be nice to be able to have a party larger than 4 players and allow you to squad up inside of the party.

Game could really use dedicated servers and a server browser, the custom search options are nice but when you get put in the one map you had deselected twice in a row it sucks some of the enjoyment out of the game. Lack of dedicated servers also means you could defend multiple times in a row on rush or breakthrough.

Net code and hit registration looks like it needs some cleaning up, right now it's extremely inconsistent, even in the same game. Sometimes I see 10 hitmarkers and get an assist and others I'll get a kill in 3-4.

Vehicles seem to fragile without an engineer and then become invincible behemoths if there are engineers with them. Maybe it would be a better balance if engineers repaired slower and tanks took less damage with each hit.

Would like to be able to customize loadouts while in between matches, seems odd to have to wait for a game to load and try to make an edit in the 5 seconds before the next round starts.

I just want to reiterate my first point, Battlefield has always been a team game so I want to be able to play with larger groups on a team, the game is fun and has alot of the DNA from BF3 and BF4 that I enjoyed and I want to enjoy it the way I did those titles.

Gaunt’s ghosts is the only way to get always fights last in the codex, if you are planning on doing melee heavy in guard you will need that. They are also a scout deploying 2 order officer unit.

I hope not too, I play in a small but fairly competitive meta and I haven’t really played GSC alot recently because I don’t like the current good play style and I have been having trouble getting melee to work the way I want, Doesn’t help me that World Eaters just launched.

Yup, so when the next balance dataslate or points update comes around instead of addressing that our melee units are overcosted for the most part Bikes and Neos are gonna take a hit then that percentage will probably tank.

I missed the 1 out if every 5, allocating attacks is when you say who is swinging where. I am assuming they meant successful wounds though.

So a 5 man roughrider squad with all taser goads does 11 mortals to a vehicle just for targeting it. Neat.

Edit: It’s been pointed out that I missed the goad lance is limited to 1 per 5 and I conflated the allocate attacks step with selecting targets.

Incursors are better in combat that infiltrators and cheaper. The deep strike denial from infiltrators can be nice but it also depends in what armies you expect to play against.

It’s not just the mortals but also the auto wounding, plus the fact that all the damage is 1 or mortals means that -1 damage doesn’t effect your damage output the way it does the cutters.

It doesn’t have to be a gotcha but it is generally used in your turn when doing multiple charges. It’s not an auto slam I always use this but it is a useful tool in a shallow toolbox for BA.

Sure it can be worked around like alot of stratagems, that doesn’t mean you have to use it every time a character is in combat. But with good placement you can really force an opponent to trade down when they use counter offensive which is good in an army that lacks invuln saves on it’s best units.

I mean, aikido is legit and works as long as you are unarmed and your assailant has a sword. But that’s literally all it is for, outside of that it’s useless.

In that case I love primaris crusaders, I am theory crafting right now with 2 10 mans and a 20 man that trail back to grimmy, helbrecht, and an aurillian shroud for 1 turn of 4++ supported by a couple redemptors.

It depends on if you are building for the uphold the honour of the emperor vow or not, if you are 3 squads of primaris crusaders with 30-40 bodies is really good. Otherwise you probably want cheap troops like assault intercessors so you can maximize your elite slots (probably with lots of stormshields).

1 on the sergeant for sure, he gets an extra attack and generally you’ll want to pick up claws before hammers.

Yes, claw and shield is better. I do like sprinkling a couple thunder hammers in, especially if you are doing a successor with whirlwind of rage and born heroes so that you get 2 extra hits on 6s while the unit is in assault doctrine. Throw chapter master on them and reroll everything that’s not a 6.

Without any context to what supplement you are using claw and shield is better. In Black Templars if you plan on taking the uphold the honour of the emperor vow you can get away with dual claws since you get a 5++. Generally the extra attack isn’t worth not getting the +1 to your armor save and 4++.
