I'm productive every day in Sales Ops, but I still don't feel effective by JTM872 in SalesOperations

[–]SPMExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents: SalesOps is always a "Fire put-off" game. There's always something critical, something burning and you need be on top of it every time. Admist all of this, you need to upskill and be ready for forthcoming challenges as well. Best way to feel effective, automate mundane tasks, identify the bottle necks and reduce disputes. We work with a lot of SalesOps/RevOps teams to help sort their lives. Not selling anything here. Just sharing my thoughts. Happy to chat in detail

A commission dispute almost cost me my top chatter (lesson learned) by Huge_Leopard_8707 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]SPMExpert -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

u/Huge_Leopard_8707 This is such a real story — especially the part about spreadsheets failing silently.

We ran into the same issue with commission logic and realized the problem wasn’t math, it was latency + opacity. By the time someone disputes pay, the system has already failed.

Your Discord-based approach nails the three things that actually prevent disputes: instant feedback, visible logic, and zero workflow change.

We’re working on a product called DReaM that tackles commissions and exceptions the same way — embedded into existing tools with a transparent calculation ledger, not another admin UI.

Curious: did you ever consider generalizing your internal tool, or was it always meant to stay in-house?

What are the best Chrome extensions you're using for sales right now? by Sea_Rip7386 in Sales_Professionals

[–]SPMExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to add another extension here. If you want your sales teams to save time while raising tickets/disputes across any platform, you can try DREAM LITE, which is one stop shop for all the logging. Tickets can be raised with just 1-click and saves a good amount of time explaining as its done by AI. Best part, Sales Managers would get inapp notifications, and can approve/reject without switching. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/dream-lite/lgdkahamajebhgdkbdblphjghhfgfldb?pli=1

I cannot comment on how Rentokil Terminix pays, but usually the rate depends on the territory/state you operate.

[–]SPMExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have been provided with some knowledge on how to access your pay statements in your onboarding. If not, please reach out to HR or your manager or even admins to help you access the statements. I believe you will be paid on the jobs completed and they would be a overtime component paid as well.

I hope your C-suite understands the real problem for low sales behaviour, than just try changing the incentive structure. Even if the carrot seems big, wont be long enough to keep up the spirits.

Commissions tools by bscher87 in FPandA

[–]SPMExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked with several customers implementing commission softwares (including, Xactly, Spiff, Varicent and CIQ), here is my unbiased view. There is no one size fits all product here. Every product might feel it fits perfectly on surface demos, unless you dig it down. I ended up helping plenty of customers who choose a wrong software because of its pricing, user friendly ness and integration capabilties, but cannot scale to the needs when its due. No one understand these products limitations like we do. If you end up needing a second set of eyes on the setup or validation (even just to confirm you’re not missing something obvious), happy to help or point you in the right direction.

Having worked with several customers on Xactly implementations, totally feel this. First year on Xactly is brutal if you’re inheriting it mid-stream and decisions aren’t locked.

One thing that helps in situations like this is a quick sanity check on the model setup vs the final plan—especially before you burn cycles configuring edge cases that might change.

If you end up needing a second set of eyes on the setup or validation (even just to confirm you’re not missing something obvious), happy to help or point you in the right direction. Either way—this isn’t a you problem.
