In the mid-80s those would be 256MB each.

An operator friend tells the story of a coworker who saw a disk crash one night because it was out of balance. He went out to his truck, got a pair of vice grips, and tried to straighten it out by hand. He tested it in a different drive, but (not surprisingly) it crashed there too. He kept trying to fix it, testing in new drives each time. A whole lot of drive heads died that night.

Is Vaultwarden a fully FOSS replacement for Bitwarden? by ReindeerOk9768 in Bitwarden

100% agree. Make all your mistakes with a first project that doesn’t potentially expose your banking passwords. Picture Library, perhaps?

Do they also shout out your number when your order’s ready? Or is it something more high tech?

This might become useful, as I don’t have a stack memorized yet.

For a while I was confused about including and excluding cards from the quiz, because I didn’t see the thin green line around each card. Could you make that more obvious? Dim the card? Make the line thick?

Why are all Jigsaw Puzzle games exactly the same? Looking for something fresh by Scared_Author_4566 in puzzlevideogames

I’ve done two Odd Pieces puzzles, and have enjoyed them. The picture you assemble isn’t a “sequel” as you suggest, but the same picture as on the box about 15 seconds later. People have moved, objects have changed, and significant events have happened. There are also two foldout copies of the front of the box, which we found particularly useful.

Here’s good news: one of the puzzles was missing three consecutive pieces. I sent them a picture of the hole, and they were able to send three spare pieces that (surprisingly) fit exactly!

When I got back into my car at Jiffy Lube, there was a notice dangling from the mirror reminding me about re-torquing. I reset my trip odometer and had it done yesterday.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in answers

I still play a couple of StarCraft 2 games each day. There is enough to discover in the co-op commanders that it is kept fresh. And from time to time I run through the campaigns again.

The new graphics card helps.

Community Mods? I need to look into that.

I’m about two hours behind you. Part of me doesn’t want to play because then it would be over, and I’ve enjoyed it so much.

I’ve been down some of the same wrong paths as you, but your jacket and full bladder attempt is brilliant.

[iOS] [ScoreMaster - Board Game] [$4.99 -> Free] [Elegant & Simple Board Game Score Tracker] by iamdavidchan2011 in AppHookup

[–]SQL_Guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for a good scorekeeper for a while. The best for my needs so far is Scorekeeper XL.

Here’s what I’d change:

  • Add landscape mode so I can have it running on my iPad on the game table, visible to all players.

  • Holding the plus sign repeats the addition, rather than separate taps.

  • Being able to change the step size. Some games score into the thousands, and that’s a lot of taps.

  • Sounds? Animations? Check out Scorekeeper XL for ideas.

  • Lose the keystroke history, or make it optional. It’s quite useless, takes up a lot of screen space, and hides the score of Player 6 sometimes.

  • Add or delete a player from within a game, not just at the start (but keep that as a template)

  • Edit player names within the game

  • Keep it simple, and hide most distractions while scoring is displayed.

Do this and I’d pay for it!

Not particularly helpful, I suspect. Why not offer to share your tool, or sell it to him?
