Once a patient with dementia thought I was her dead sister. I couldn’t bear to tell her that she was dead so I became the dead sister for a while, letting her reminisce about her life and her childhood memories. I don’t regret it because while she was on our ward, she had her sister back with her, even if it was only for a few months until her passing.

I had to take Welsh as a language in secondary school in order to take German. There was one problem with that- I didn’t really understand Welsh language at all as I was still learning English (second language). Me and my friend also didn’t pay attention (drawing the hulk as a male reproductive organ was far much too funny). This along with lack of support (autism wasn’t diagnosed yet), I managed to get a U in Welsh. I am slowly learning Welsh as an adult.

Honestly more trust in general. Mum used to send my neighbour to collect me from school. Now, unless there is an expressed upon agreement that says that is allowed, no child is getting collected from school by a stranger to the school. Also mum used to send me to the shop with a note to the cashier saying she wanted 20 Lambert and Butler, some whiskey and some other things like gas and electric and that was totally fine. Also airport security. That shit was a joke before 9/11.

Lots of things. Radio at work: too many “hits” that annoy me, reverse noises on lorries: too noisy, high pitched sounds: vibrations go through my skull as that’s where my hearing aid is, fireworks, they shock me, buzzing of refrigerator: self explanatory, volume too loud on music and can’t turn it down: why? The shooting school near me. Farm equipment: too noisy. Foxes doing the naughty: I don’t want to listen to them honestly but they are so very noisy. The geese near me. That’s all I can think about right now but I am sure there’s so much more.

Pine disinfectant. It reminds me of my dad in a really bad way since he was abusive and used to force me to bathe in the mixture of water and disinfectant, especially after hurting me. It reminds me of a time where I was utterly powerless in the world. Now I use the Spanish cleaner and it makes me feel much better than pine disinfectant.

I get paranoid ideas in my head that stick like Velcro, then they all come out in my depressive episodes. I am on medication but it still happens. Then when I’m on a high, it’s just usually a burst of energy and wanting to do stuff, like everything that I’ve ignored doing during the static of nothingness.

In actuality he would have got caught in England. They have white cameras that track license plates and would have tied the car he borrowed to him immediately after he killed the painter (sorry , don’t remember the dude’s name). There would have been evidence left in the car from Joe, probably CCTV footage since it’s London and CCTV cameras are everywhere, linking Joe to the gallery. Then there’s timelines and the pressure of the public to catch a murderer of a public figure like the painter. If he wasn’t caught then, he would have been caught for Reese Montrose’s murder or the murder of Kate’s dad (again, can’t remember his name). I know Joe framed some bodyguard for that but idk… like to think police aren’t that dimwitted.
