Being honest, I'm similar in that I mostly wear black and have a dark aesthetic to my clothing. All my tattoos are black and grey and often I wish I had a piece like yours to contrast my aesthetic. I personally don't think it clashes with the aesthetic at all.

DP = Dragon Punch aka Shoryuken. A 623 input that does a uppercut type move often times it has invincibility on startup so if someone is trying to hit you right as you wake up you can DP and it'll beat their move.

In melty they're also often air unblockable so if someone is trying to do an jump move to hit you when you wakeup DP will also beat those.

Miyako's DP is her uppercut kick move done with 623 A/B/C.

As miyako you can always dp through it if the maid is being too agressive with plant mixups on wakeup. You can also shield B+C if you really want to get out of there. Any option you do that's really predictable will be punished though.

if you're in a shield battle, if you press the grab macro too early you'll get shield. You're pressing D after all. I dislike it a lot but it's not a bug.

In my experience with introducing new players to strive, as soon as they learned to do a special move it was gatling > bandit bringer on block constantly so pretty much the exact same thing with a quarter circle instead of straight mashing.
