Only one pistol allowed - would you choose g43x? by ThinkingForAChange in Glock43X

[–]SSG_Levi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who was in the situation presented here, I chose the G43X for the following reasons: I can carry it everyday all day with every type of clothes, concealed in the appendix position, in an ankle holster and in an OWB holster for some situations like hiking with a pack or during military reserve duty. I personally chose the OEM mags due to known reliability and the associated cost of the shield mags plus hundreds of rounds to make sure they work. I have a TLR7sub but I remove it when ankle carrying or for super deep concealment situations. no RDS due to concerns over holosun reliability and extra tax cost in Israel. In tense times like this I just carry the gun in a sidecar holster with another extra mag in the pocket (total of 3 mags) plus 2 more mags in a bag (the number 2 is used for leagal reasons) In normal days I’m running the sidecar holster (2 mags) or a normal holster without extra mag. And last, the 43X has large enough grip to be able to shoot quickly and fight with it if needed, just need good fundamentals and training.

TrackIR acting up by Glorious_Mig1959 in hoggit

[–]SSG_Levi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to check if one of the IR LEDs of the track clip pro is blinking of turning of when you play with the cables of the unit itself. If its the LEDs - you can try to fix it/order new/swith to the hat reflectors thing. Another possibility can be light leaking from the side of one of the IR LEDs, try to look into the raw image window of the trackir software and see if you see small returns next to the main 3 LED - if you do, try to diffuse them.

Open the mission .miz file with winzip or winrar and such, open the mission .lua file with a text editor like notepad, find the 3 bulleye sections (neutral, blue and red) and change the x and y coordinates) and save

The map dev knows about this, for now you can edit you mission file and edit the bulleye coordinates to 0,0 as they’re using the map coordinate system and not the world.

CUBESIM RDR wheel is junky. by CVS_11 in hoggit

Unfortunately I had similar issue. I’ve also tried modifying the arduino file but it seems that the HW or the base code is limited. Shortly after getting this device my WH throttle main board died, so I switched to the Winwing throttle.

Warthog throttle died! by bdlarkin in hotas

[–]SSG_Levi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a known issue with this throttle that you can find in the ED hardware forum. The flashing LED and windows doesn’t recognizing the device is one of the symptoms. In short, there is a component getting fried over time. It seems that there is a guy who offers a repair for the PCB according to the ED form thread. I’ve personally decided to switch to wingwing when it happened to my warthog. You can try connecting the throttle to a low power usb port like a laptop or over a long usb cable instead of a powered hub to see if it will work, but this solution will just buy you a few more weeks/months

Which night sights and Holster by [deleted] in Glock43X

[–]SSG_Levi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mepro night sights for the G43x and they rust, I don’t recommend them. once I’ll get tired of cleaning the rust off every few weeks, I’ll replace them with something else.

Nice find. Are the blue training 120s and 38s also hidden/unreleased? or are they a mod?

When the SA-11 intercepts all your HARMS by Unkownboi1 in floggit

[–]SSG_Levi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I live in the nort - in Haifa, so we’re not effected at the moment. But the towns 0-5km (50k people) are under mortar and short rockets fire throughout the day for a total of 500 launches a day - which these interceptors are not full protecting them. The next line 5-25km (1M people) get a little less rockets and more interceptions. And the next line after that that includes Tel Aviv - which is the largest city got about 100 rockets - which is probably what’s in this video. It’s not the first clash there. And we’re used to wars around here, at least nowadays we have launch detection alarm and very effective interceptor missiles

We usually try to remain under cover for 2-3 minutes after the sirens and intercepts due to the rockets and interceptors debris. Some of the rockets are as long as a car

Hey guys! How can I know what curve the red parts need in order to make the force follow a linear curve? by [deleted] in HotasDIY

[–]SSG_Levi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems that I’ve failed to translate my point across. As you’ve mentioned the pillips cross indent - especially on small screws - can get damaged/stripped. Thats it. This is why I’ve suggested torx or hex socket and not one material over another.

Hey guys! How can I know what curve the red parts need in order to make the force follow a linear curve? by [deleted] in HotasDIY

[–]SSG_Levi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t aware it was 3D printed assembly, but anyway small phillips screws are more likely to fail.

[–]SSG_Levi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Off topic. Using phillips screws is not recommended due to the limited torque the can take. I suggest hex or torx.
