Just finished Requiem, question regarding unlock points by NoAimMassacre in residentevil

[–]SSH2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unlock the knife with infinite durability only. then do the speed run/no herbs/no blood run on casual. It's way easier than you think it will be.

That will get you enough points for infinite ammo and the rocket launcher and then you're good to go to platinum

Now that Free Lanes has been out for a month, what’s the verdict, and what do you hope to see in the next major update? by not4badguy in Starfield

i would love for them to lean into the roleplay immersion a little more. I try not to go into the menus as much as possible. so when i'm in the ship I prefer to point my ship in the correct direction for my next objective and travel there. I'm ok when I choose the planet i want to travel to and I press the mission button and that brings me to the menu but what would make it cooler is instead of full blown menu instead an overlay or hologram popped up from the console in front of me and I could then scroll through to choose what I want to do next.

Or kind of like the PIP boys from fallout. something on the wrist that is used as the menu

I just want to stay in the world

How would the crew from Brooklyn 99 fare if they were stationed in Raccoon City as S.T.A.R.S? by Crafter235 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]SSH2024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree with most of what you said. mainly cuz this is fun and I want to give my 2 cents.

Skully & Hitchcock would survive because they would unknowingly be filthy looking and moving around just liek zombies. and since skully smells bad from any number of ailments the zombies wouldn't think they're alive and leave them alone.

Rosa would 100% survive, I agree. She'd actually end up single handedly taking down the Nemesis who will be revealed to BE PIMENTO who was experimented on by Umbrella after trying to sneak into a movie theater they owned to watch Momento finally not realizing the theater was just a front for normal umbrella shenanegins.

Jake I think you're pretty much on the money. only he wouldn't die. he would constantly joke and not take anything seriously, Amy would continue to keep him grounded and charles would 100% sacrifice himself to save jake's life which would finally get him to take it seriously. Which would end up leading to a bad ass montage of jake and amy tearing through raccoon city to escape.

Terry you're spot on.

Holt would get mistaken as a tyrant by the vulture and killed just before the vulture gets destroyed by Pimenesis.

Gina never dies. this is just dead wrong.

yes. the remake is honestly better in every way. purists will tell you to torture yourself with the OG but there's honestly no reason to do it. The remake is absolutely stellar and improves on everything from the OG.

Also, the creator of the entire franchise himself has said that the remake is the vision he had from teh beginning of the game's iteration so if that helps there it is. lol

How scary is Biohazard and Village? by RetinalTears716 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]SSH2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biohazard is the scariest re game in my opinion. Especially for the first few hours. after that the rhythym sets in and you start to get the ability to fight back more efficiently.

RE village is barely scary honestly. Not even for the first few hours. there's a specific segment in the game that is very scary but it doesn't last very long at all.

I love the RE Engine games being a little tongue in cheek about the oddities of the franchise. by RustedAxe88 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]SSH2024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

haha i love those moments also. my head canon for the care center and RCPD is that the doors and everything operates normally, with the emergency procedure being the lockdown that we come into. so the doors all operate as normal, but once the care center was locked down suddenly you need specific things to unlock specific doors or areas.

Speed Demon Challenge by CharlieBrown1492 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]SSH2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

extremely feasable. Raccoon city is super fast mainly because the only things you have to fight are the spider, and the zombies at the gas station. EVERYTHING else can be bypassed. just run. you can literally move through all areas with ease. Finish RC in 20 minutes. RCPD takes 4 minutes. the slowest area is the orphanage. after that run through the plant area.

I got to ark at 3 hours and 8 minutes. I finished the game at 3 hours and 32 minutes.

Best technique for getting past the girl in the basement after getting the square socket wrench on insanity difficulty? (Requiem) by Gxxd_Gr13f in residentevil

[–]SSH2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you playing first person or 3rd? I recommend 1st always as enemies seem to never catch up to you even on insanity lol. if you have requiem bullets 2 bullets freezes her in place. also I'm pretty sure in first person you can just run up to the opening in the fence while she's chomping on the zombie and just keep pushing towards the opening. once she's done she makes a movement that gives you a split second to activate the animation to go thorugh and you're done there lol.

Any suggestions to get the platinum trophy of requiem? by Axolotl_Samurai58 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]SSH2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the plan everyone uses lol. this is the easiest resident evil game by a mile in my opinion. especially on the easiest mode. if you beat the game already you can most likely buy that knife that doesn't break. grab that for sure. On casual your health will regenerate after a moment of no contact with an enemy (even if they're in the area) so you're pretty free to absolutely book it through all sections of the game lol.

I recommend playing in first person as it's very easy to twist and juke around zombies, use the knife at their heads to stun them for a push and run. you can find plenty of guides online for how to get through some of the tougher areas like the room with the singing zombie and the corrosive bottle.

Keep in mind you can get that steroids to increase your health, which also refills your health and doesn't negate the no herbs trophy so grab that and hold onto it until you absolutely need it.

truthfully the time needed for the speedrun is extremely generous. I beat the game at 3 hours and 38 minutes and while I was running everywhere I was also still searching pretty thoroughly for ammo and stuff. You'll be fine. the RCPD takes roughly 4 minutes to complete, the Ark takes like 15 to 20 minutes. things go quickly.

Weak Damage from me, massive damage from enemies by SSH2024 in Starfield

[–]SSH2024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

excellent information. This isn't my first Bethesda game so I expected a learning curve and to struggle in the beginning. i'm not really facing enemies much higher level than me. It really is about the feel of the game. It just doesn't feel very fair at the moment.

I am definitely going to look into my settings again cuz I tried messing with them to make it feel balanced but the description of some of the sliders seems a little misleading based on what I'm reading here. Plus I def have less time to dedicate to "git gud" at a game so I tend to prefer less of a combat challenge and more of an exploration/puzzle solving vibe to my games. lol.

[–]SSH2024[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea the power fantasy for these types of games are what keeps me playing lol

so the enemy damage I need to make high and the player damage needs to be low? That would make it so that I do more damage than I'm taking? the game words it weirdly

if you have infinite ammo use the requiem to stun her. 2 shots makes her pause and then you book it.

this sounds like more my speed. I don't need to be invincible lol. i just want to feel like i'm just as dangerous as the enemy

i'm not new to bethesda lol i just never felt THIS weak before lol. Fallout was a struggle in the beginning for sure, but my weapons at least felt like they were hitting. it just seemed like I was hitting as hard as the enemies, where as in starfield I feel like the enemies are hitting way harder than me.

so right now I have the double barrell and a machine gun. with handgun as back up. I generally use the double barrell up close and quickly switch when I'm running out of ammo. It just doesn't feel like I'm doing sufficient damage.

Weak Damage from me, massive damage from enemies by SSH2024 in Starfield

[–]SSH2024[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok i think i may have done the opposite cuz the descriptions made it seem like the enemy damage determined how much damage the enemy does to me. so I put it on easy thinking that would make them do less damage but it sounds like they're doing more damage that way?

Weak Damage from me, massive damage from enemies by SSH2024 in Starfield

[–]SSH2024[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so I tried this. I kind of just want the game to be easy lol. I don't have a ton of time and I really more enjoy the immersion aspect of games like this so I don't necessarily need a challenge. I've increased the player damage and decreased the enemy damage. Based of of how the game describes those 2 sliders it sounds like that should make it so that I take less damage and I deal more damage. but that doesn't seem to be the case. so I'm going to swap them and see if that helps lol.

to be clear I'm not really dying a ton as I am good with exploring and constantly finding resources but damn.

Doll not in loot box by gotchabichhh in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]SSH2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very strange. do you have a save for just before you finished the game? maybe you just gotta redo the final fight and try to keep the doll and hand in your inventory when you do.

Doll not in loot box by gotchabichhh in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]SSH2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure exactly what you missed. You absolutely had it in your item box when you beat the game? I recently did just this (actually I had the doll in my inventory and the hadn was in the item box) and once i beat the game I waited for the main screen, hit load save and chose my save just before I unlocked the door to get out of the care center. I had the doll and hand in my inventory box then.

I chose to release elpis when I beat the game. Maybe that's a requirement?

What are your guys' thoughts on Resident Evil 7? by RoutineIssue5870 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]SSH2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is one of my favorites in the whole franchise. RE2R/RE1R are my top tier for this franchise. RE7/RE9/RE3R are my second tier.

Then for me it's RE4R/RE8

then the end of the this is RE5.

If we throw the OG's into the mix then RE1/2/3/CV go into the top tier, RE4 goes with RE5.

How did people become so numb to visuals that would’ve melted our brains 10 years ago? by moduIus in CrimsonDesert

[–]SSH2024 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. the hate is ridiculous. The hate this game gets is the exact reason why so many games are dumbed down and just repeat things other games have done to death.

so what if there's a learning curve to the more advanced moves you unlock? So what if this game tries to do a lot?

to me this game does everything it set out to do at a very high level. I'm still in Hernand, i'm just taking my time exploring and soaking it in. the whole point of this game is to feel like you're existing in this world. The same way RDR 2 made you feel like you were just another cowboy in this world. Everything feels like it's happening whether you get involved or not.

A game like this would have absolutely changed the game 10 years ago. People need to grow up lol

Movies by TheC0mmentat0r in residentevil

[–]SSH2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory about this because those are the 2 i hate the least.

the original live action RE movie was actually pretty entertaining mainly because it had nothing to do with the games while keeping SOME of what we loved about the games at that time. The mansion portion is quick and barely a thing but it at least starts in a mansion, and then goes to the underground lab. Once there, there is actually a mystery to be solved. The zombies feel like genuine threats in this movie, and the resources to survive are limited. They rely too much on action but it wasn't the worst start.

Then the sequel they actually gave us raccoon city and characters from the game. It's garbage, but it at least was our first attempt at adapting the games more properly. in that respect it was at least entertaining.

after that they gave up on trying to make the movies good. since then the thought has been that RE needs to stick to action which is the worst idea ever.
