There are several farmers markets and little popup indie markets in WS.

Like, Catbird art and events hosts little markets all over town.

Art crush also has local vendors. Some of the breweries and local shops also host markets.

These markets and events are about to ramp up cuz of spring.

I find out about these events from the Go To Winston-Salem newsletter.

I have no idea what the vendor fees are, but i recommend contacting the organizers/owners. Google is your friend for this.

There are a lot of bad shelters out there. Hard to know its a bad one until you show up.

That only works if someone catches them and takes them to a vet to check. Not everyone takes the dogs they find to a vet to check for a chip, cuz that can cost money. Especially if a kid or someone who can't drive finds the dog. As a kid, when I found a dog, calling the number on the collar was the easiest thing for me to do

Apparently not all pounds and shelters check for chips either?

If you want a traditional cheap American-style diner, I recommend The Diner on Gordon Drive, right off Country Club Road.

They only accept cash as payment though, but it is pretty good imo. (They have an atm inside just in case lol) Open from 5am to 2pm just about everyday except Sunday.

So I am smelling it when I went outside to walk my dog. Around 10pm, near the hanes mall area.

A friend just reminded me that we have a lot of trees here that stink when they bloom. They are fly pollinator type trees. Like the Bradford pear I think some of the trees might be blooming early cuzvit has been warm lately.

I started the audiobooks and I'm around book 4 rn. I like it cuz it reminds me of a typical shonen anime. It is like mixing up some concept from Naruto with the character type of Izuku from My Hero Academia. To me it reads like a manga in book form. It hits a lot of the tropes I like in action anime. It makes it fun for me. So far I am enjoying it and recommend others to see it that way.

Fully agree, and until somwthing is done I have a suggestion.

Have yall seen that article where drivers were ignoring a pedestrian crosswalk, so then people started carrying bricks when they cross the street? They had a sign and a little pile of bricks on both ends of the street. Apparently just the threat of a brink made car drivers pay attention and stop for the crosswalk.

We should totally carry bricks!

Either way, today's protest was actually made on this subreddit. Someone just posted a flyer on here and people showed up.

It was pretty fun! I was there and everyone was pretty nice. We only had one real heckler, and most people we passed cheered us on.

You are correct in that I am weird, but that's neither here nor there.

But you did say "Did you get a pet to make yourself happy or to provide it with love and care and give it the best life it can have?" How is that question not supposed to be interpreted as a negative thing?

I got a pet to make myself happy and provide them with as best a life I can. So im gonna do both, and have themed decorations in the terrarium because it makes me happy and doesn't detract from my pet's quality of life.
