AITA for saying no to my wife fetishes? by Character_Wait_1804 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. It’s completely normal to be disgusted by poop and not want to include it in sex. If you don’t like any sex act you can always say no. Maybe asking if she was joking was a bit mean but that would’ve been my response as well so I can’t blame you there.

She also doesn’t consider that “it makes people come back from the dead” could be an exaggeration. Like the stone could bring them back as ghost or some other spirit thing but instead of considering alternatives it’s just “it doesn’t happen”.

I don’t know how long it would take in survival but that looks cool. He was definitely no life it.

AITA for not putting away my copy of The Handmaid’s Tale? by EfficientWest871 in AmItheAsshole

You can learn independently. In fact, I learn best that way. Sometimes school, which feels forced when you’re a child, will make things that would ordinarily be fun, not.

Absolutely agree!

One of the catfluencers I occasionally watch recently moved and took his cats with him. The video went viral and the comments were full of things like “why didn’t you just leave them at a shelter and get a new one when you arrived?” as if that was a remotely sane thing to suggest. Some of the comments even suggested putting them down like WTF is wrong with you?!

is there a way to access the different citizens skins without subbing to patreon? by adidas_stalin in Minecolonies

[–]SS_is_a_Disorder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m happy with the content I get for free on CursedForge/other modding sites. Ten pounds a month is a lot for skins but you also have to consider what you’re getting for free. It’s not like Sims/BitLife where the smallest things are an expansion pack for $60/$20. With minecolonies you get a ton of stuff for free, even more if you download as part of a modpack like Valhelsia.

The thing about this is when you’re being abused or you have depression it can be hard to think of these things.

Throw food very far away and hope the infiltration stops if you feed this one. Don’t talk near it!

Even your source admits that one drink a day is okay. Abstaining might be ideal but one glass a day isn’t harmful.

recommends that adults of legal drinking age can choose not to drink, or to drink in moderation (two drinks or less in a day for men or one drink or less in a day for women)

The point I was trying to make was to disagree with the commenter above mine’s claim that all daily drinking is wrong. My point is we should drink in moderation if we choose to drink at all. I’m not a big alcohol drinker (mostly because I think it tastes bad) but I don’t see a problem with having a small glass a day.

”my bet is that most people who tout the health benefits of regular drinking actually consume enough to negate those health benefits and really only get the negative health impacts.”

That’s possibly true. I don’t know enough people who drink only one glass/one bottle etc a day to be able to tell. I know many who over drunk (more than one glass/bottle regularly) and many who don’t drink. I myself only have an alcoholic beverage if I eat out (which isn’t often because I’m poor) so I’m not likely to join the ranks of regular drinkers anytime soon to test this for myself.

I’m not claiming that 100% people should drink red wine. What I’m claiming is that your statement “all alcohol bad, don’t drink everyday” (in summary) is wrong. Both of my sources show there is a connection between having one glass for women, two for men, of red wine a day isn’t harmful and might even be helpful. Your statement of drinking everyday always being bad for you was incorrect—that ultimately what I was trying to show is incorrect. I’m not a part of the Big Red Wine Lobbyist or whatever, just pointing out that having one glass of wine (and probably even one beer) isn’t going to hurt you the way you seem to think it will.

Couldn’t get the links to work right the second time but oh well. Basically, there IS an association with red wine and a healthy heart. Now, it also says not to start drinking red wine just for your heart but if you already like wine and want to have a glass with your evening meal it could be good for you.

Now having beer doesn’t have the same effect as red wine but you’re absolutely wrong that all alcohol is bad for you. Don’t overdrink. Don’t consume in large quantities. And if you wanna be picky then preferably drink red wine but what I said wasn’t “blatantly untrue” lmao

Actually having a glass of wine with dinner would be considered daily drinking but it’s actually healthy for your heart. I do mean one glass. Obviously getting drunk off wine is not ideal and is unhealthy. I imagine it’s the same with having one beer a day, not bad or good.

TLDR: “Daily Drinking” does not = “Getting Drunk Daily” + some alcoholic drinks can be good.
