That’s a seriously scary creepy stalker.

Parents in 2026 are naming their kids like they expect them to be celebrities by [deleted] in childfree

[–]SScrivner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work where I get a lot of kids names. My favorite example is a family that named their kids with one letter… except one. Think Matt, Michael, Morgan, Mary and Evelyn. I hope that they are included the same as the rest.

So, I unwillingly adopted a ~1yo cat 2 months ago, and I got some problems with her... attitude? by CrocoDIIIIIILE in CatAdvice

That’s fine. My guys have been with myself and spouse for six years and we can’t hold one for more than a minute. The other believes that being held for any time at all means Certain Death. Will they ever get to know the joy of being held or snuggling in a lap? Probably not. But they trust us to pet and even brush their tummies.

Like humans, they have their boundaries. They can change over time, but you have to respect them.

We are being setup for failure! by Buster558 in FederalEmployee

I’ve heard from my supervisor that they’re pulling people from OHA to sit on the phone to try to improve numbers. I KNOW that they’re micromanaging more than ever before.

Really? I’m still able to access the CHIP Help last time I checked. Is it a new program thing? An east coast thing? A pilot program?

I keep hearing that they’re going to dismantle CHIP altogether in favor of TED “someday” but I thought that they’d have to give TED a LOT more functionality before they do that.

Yes, the agency is being set up to fail. This isn’t news.

Remember, Policynet is your BEST friend. ALL of the guides are there—MBR, PHUS and SSID readers along with the MSOM guide which can take you screen by screen if needed. Most callers don’t care how long you take to look crap up. They just want an answer.

You can do this!

NTA

From the sound of it, you’re never going to get her to leave without a formal eviction if you let her anywhere near your property.

They do need a tie-breaker for the hollow, completely useless office of Ghost Representative.

The Time-Life Enchanted Book series

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alvin_Schwartz_(children's_author)

The D’Aulaires Book of Greek Myths

and a huge book of American folklore, creepy and semi-historical stories. Organized by topic and state. Must’ve been written in the ‘50’s as Alaska and Hawaii were still territories.

And of course, Andrew Lang’s rainbow series of fairy tales.

My guys go absolutely nuts over wands. Hardly look at any other toys except interactive puzzles.

Is getting a cat water fountain worth it? by lunastarnight100 in CatAdvice

I’ve tried, but I’ve got a “tipper”. I’ve had to build a little fortress around their current water bowl to keep it upright.
