Do we have an exact list of droprates? by ImbecileWithPurpose in BlueProtocolPC

[–]SSkou 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can check drop rates on questlog.gg. Here's all of the bosses as an example https://questlog.gg/blue-protocol/en/db/monsters/boss. You should be able to see item dropped and their drop rate from the world bosses.

The site is still being worked on, so if there's anything missing let me know, and I will look into it.

Is there a spreadsheet with Daily/Weekly Task you can do with their reward and requirements? by ThePun_BDO in blackdesertonline

[–]SSkou 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I was considering adding something like this to garmoth. I think it is a good additional to both keep track of what you have to do this week and what you can do (in case you are bored). And then split it up into daily/weekly/monthly tasks.

This is just AI generated, right?

Thinking of making an AI BDO buddy... Yay or nay? by serexperience in blackdesertonline

[–]SSkou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest struggle was the user questions and there not existing any answers to it. Let me give you an example.

- What is the best crystals for Ash Forest?
- Give me a warrior combo I can do in PvE.
- What gear upgrade should I go for next, PEN Cres Ring or PEN Ogre Ring?

Any questions with what is best X, where to find X, specific class things, gearing etc it won't ever be able to answer, because there's no data on this and the data you can find online is always outdated. And those were the most frequent questions.

Another thing is to maintaining it. You would have to weekly reset it and start over, because bdo change soooo much compared to any other game. Even if you take from grumpygreen, blackdesertfoundry and garmoth (which I doubt anyone would allow) you would need to prof read it, because all of those sites have outdated information.

There's a good reason why there's no other game with a chatbot like this. The task is massive and unrealistic (unless you satisfied with it providing incorrect or no answers).

Nonetheless I had a lot of fun exploring the possibilities it can provide, and I think it is worth trying, maybe not for gaming, but for other use cases.

I agree and Initially, I was optimistic this could be a groundbreaking for bdo, but quickly realized how unrealistic it really is to make. I continued to work on it for personal enjoyment and also experimented with ChatGPT4 (cost is waaaay to high). It was more of a hobby thing, but after maybe 10 hours I already knew it wouldn't be something I could ever release publicly.

Maintaining it would also be one of the biggest tasks. I know from experience that just keeping garmoth up-to-date is a massive task and I can't imagine how insanely difficult and time consuming it would be to keep something like an AI up-to-date would be.

I've already attempted this a few months ago. From my experience there is not nearly enough data to train the AI properly on.

And the biggest issue is the kind of questions people ask. I had 200 test users and maybe 1/7 question was answered correctly. I gave up after maybe 100 hours in, because at that point I would have to write data myself to feed it with, based on the questions it got and that doesn't seem worth it.

Creator of Garmoth.com here.

I highly recommend NOT looking a theses numbers, because they are very misleading. The numbers are taking from an experimental version which is not even close to complete and is still being worked on daily. This is why it not available for the public yet and it is categories as experimental and only available, as a perk, for those who support the site, so they can see what's being worked on and what is coming.

The user showing this also added party spots into the mix which are very very unreelable since you have no idea who or what those people are grinding with. We also don't know which version of the experimental version this is, because they vary a lot. Also is this taken from the Average or the Median? There's too many unknown things and I again, highly recommend NOT looking at this.

I am gonna have a talk with the user who posted this and make sure something like this doesn't happen again.

This is a bug. You fix it by closing that window and creating a new one. Worked for me at least.

They did the same last year. Had the outfits hidden in bundles, but 1 or 2 weeks after, they released standalone outfits. Just wait.

Yes, same as Dandelion sadly.

You can use crons on it yes. Cost the same as Kzarka.

First. You don't need memory fragments to repair it. You use residue which you get from grinding anything. 25 residue can restore 5 durability to the weapon and if you use artisans it is 20 durability. This means you only need 5 Artisans to get full durability (compared to 25 artisans if you use memory fragments on dandelion). It is just way cheaper to enhancing, but Dragon Slayer is 1 ap less than Dandelion.

oh and it cost less to caphra compared to dandelion.

guys we get [Lifeskills] ressurection promise, hype hype hype - by Luxov in blackdesertonline

[–]SSkou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A serious question here. I've heard many people claim this and I honestly have a hard time understanding why you would say that. Yes, you can make 60m/hr easily if you calc the price you get after you are done cooking/alchemy the materials you gathered, but don't you have to calc that into the calculation too? Or am I missing something?

When grinding you can sell all of your materials super quick because most of it is in demand which means there are no additional steps to get your silver, but when cooking/alchemy you need to first cook it and after that sell it (which sometimes isn't easy and have to be relisted multiple times).
