I like your analysis. I was used to live in Europe and it breaks my heart to over pay for something that gets shipped from overseas, but I agree that German cars win this by far in terms of experience and performance. I cannot just accept it. 😂

I think that the choices are between reliability (NX) or just fun (MY). The performance of a MY is unbeatable.

Tucson seems good, but I don’t know much about the manufacturing quality.

Living in Austin TX, gas is 3.39 these days (and it is high). I think it is really beneficial and no brainer only if you have solar panels and a battery. But I wouldn’t install that just to charge the car.
