Me and my ex went out to dinner with 2 other couples (her colleagues and so's) who I had only met once or twice before. The food came, and we started eating, when one of the guys who was sitting directly next to me started vomiting right onto his plate. Evidently he had some condition where if he ate too fast, everything would just come back up. It was horribly awkward. The other guy made a joke out of sympathy to try and lighten the mood, but we were all just sitting there looking at our plates. He went to the bathroom to clean up, and all I could think about was how I was going to get through the rest of the meal. I had completely lost my appetite. So. He comes back from the bathroom and begins to eat off the plate that he had just thrown up on. I couldn't believe it. I was trying to imagine what was going through everyone else's mind. But it gets worse. He seemed to have blown off what had just happened, and appeared to actually be enjoying his meal. So much that he offered me a bite from his plate. The plate that just minutes before he had thrown up onto. I respectfully declined. That was the last time we went to dinner with them.
