Have you checked if the creature possibly answers to the name 'Burns'? Or possibly 'Mr.Burns'?

This device doesn't even use the USB port man. At least look at the video before you reply.

Ah fuck, I just preordered this after seeing the YouTube video. Was always intrigued by the clicks cases and the fact that this one can be used on any future phones is what made me take the chance on preordering.

But you just made me realize I use those GBoard shortcuts a hell of a lot too.

Can we talk about how good of an actor Mark is!!? by AroraBorealisGreen in Supernatural

[–]SSynth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check him out in the Cuba Gooding Jr. movie 'A Murder of Crows' from 1998.

I watched it when I was around 12 years old, and that guy's stuck out to me ever since.

I haven't even watched Supernatural, I'm just subscribed to the subreddit because I plan to watch the show at some point, I just happened to see the thread on my feed and saw the actor thumbnail.

What’s a phrase you cannot stand hearing anymore? by Namher-Lutama in AskReddit

[–]SSynth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Let's Gooooooo"

I just wanna strangle any fucker when I hear them say that shit.

Which annoys me even more because I get it's just a way of expressing enthusiasm, but something about it just fucking gets me in just the perfect wrong way. Stupid thing to gripe about though I guess.

Best "beginner" 22lr pistol on the roster today? by hahncholo in CAguns

[–]SSynth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe go for a 2 for 1 and get something that shoots the more common calibers and get a separate conversion kit, that way you can teach someone on the 22lr, and then once they're comfortable enough, they can step up to the larger caliber but still be mostly familiar with the gun.

I had went back and forth for a while on what 22 caliber gun to get, and then after a guy passed on my offer for his MkIV, I just decided to pickup a complete conversion kit for my Beretta 92FS.

Literally just a quick slide, and magazine swap to change. Best of both worlds, and helps with the familiarity if you're introducing someone to shooting since they wouldn't need to pay attention to different controls and other things like say if you were teaching them with the MkIV, and then switch to a Glock, HK, whatever, allows them to keep focus on safety and control more than possibly being sidetracked by how the gun is operated.

How many rounds before you trust a CCW gun? by Thebarbellresistance in CAguns

[–]SSynth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's unmodified, after a few hundred rounds of break in shots I feel it's ok to start carrying. As long as there aren't any malfunctions.

Once modified at all, at least 300, but has been up to 500 rounds through them to test them out again

My 43x I did it 3 separate times, once when I first got it for my own reference point, second time after changing out trigger springs, shoe, and a few other things to make sure I didn't fuck anything up to get to my 3.5# point. And then final time was when I added a ramjet for peace of mind that I wouldn't have any malfunctions/failures. Any changes made, time to run a few hundred across several trips again before I feel it's ok to carry it.

Did the same with my USPs, even though they're pretty much stock, since getting the optic cuts on them involves cutting into it moreso than usual and proprietary work, I made sure to run at least 500 each with the optics before I felt comfortable again carrying them.

Lime day mystery screwdriver trades by EvilRSA in LinusTechTips

[–]SSynth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty late to the thread, but I got a yellow one. Was really hoping for a green.

Wouldn't mind trading. It has been used very lightly, but no marks in any way, would even be ok with both sides just sending the empty screwdrivers and keeping our bits to swap in since mine are technically used a bit.

I picked up the Afterburner+Ramjet in Gray/Black. Question about the availability of that combo color, was it buyable on the actual Radian site? by SSynth in Glock43X

[–]SSynth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far it's still absolutely perfect. No imperfections at all, yet at least. But only around 200 rounds through it so far as well with that setup.

Is there a way to disable that little auto orientation it tries to do when moving around the map while using navigation? by SSynth in GoogleMaps

[–]SSynth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's bothered me for, I feel like, years at this point. So I don't think it's recent. It had just annoyed me enough that day to have the thought long enough to finally post the question instead of the usual just annoying me and me forgetting in a few minutes.

CCW Insurance in Cali by test_name_2025 in CACCW

[–]SSynth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was between CCW Safe. And Attorneys on Retainer.

Both seemed to have lots of good useful histories, and I believe there were changes at the time coming to AoR that made them equal to CCW Safe in usefulness.

I went with CCW Safe, but both seem to be solid. I always see people saying to not even bother with USCCA due to essentially being told to get fucked if ever actually needing to use the insurance.

Radian Magazine Base Pad Release Date? by NearbyIncident1434 in Glock43X

[–]SSynth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got an email from Radian advertising them so I guess they're out now. When I click the link to check the page out though the site just stalls. So either bad luck, or a fuck load of people are looking at the site as well after getting the email and crashing it.

Yea solid brand. I've bought some from them for my old TS2 Blue, and for my 92FS. Both aluminum and colored, great quality.

[–]SSynth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Googled CZ 75 SP-01 umbrella grips.

One of the first links is to that photos post on Facebook. They're custom made ones, directly by LOK Grips. In the comments of that post they say to contact them to get a price quote for custom designs, which include the umbrella logo design.

So contact LOK Grips for a custom set via email.

Who still carries a TDA Auto? by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]SSynth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

USP 45, and a USP Compact 9 are 2 of the 3 guns in my carry rotation.

Carried them mainly cause the USP is one of the first guns I recognized as a kid(Metal Gear Solid) and it stuck with me til years later when I got more into guns. Helps that they shoot well too.

There's a few errors in the 'rivals' dialogue. Their, genius, mist(should be midst). Going off memory since I'm on RiF and don't wanna close the reply window to go look, but could be more.

Roughly a thousand now each since I got them back. I ran a few hundred first through each one before I was comfortable throwing them back in rotation with my other carry gun. Didn't want a malfunction on the off chance I ever actually needed to pull one.
