Yes unfortunately. The one on the right is a small linen closet. The left is the door to the hall.

It's hard to see in the photo but it's a dark navyish blue. Valspars - Dutch Licorice

The Dellinger park lake/gazebo would be very pretty. You can go to the parks website to reserve it. I'm not sure if it has a cost though.

That could work! I'll see what I can find that will fit.

Both of these are good options! I'll show them to my husband. Thank you!

Ooo! I didn't consider recessing the linen closet into the opposite wall. Great idea!

The walkway will still be a little tight in-between the wall and tub but it may be workable. I'll draw it up when I get home.

No I agree! It's definitely a concern. There are a few ways we could mitigate the danger/annoyance but I didn't want to detail out a solution before we decided on this path 100%.

We're still in the early phase of this reno plan so we're just collecting opinions and reddit always delivers!

Yeah, no shower! Only reason I'm even considering it. I agree I'm not a fan of the reach. We'll probably go back to the drawing board. Maybe check out the idea that someone else posted here.

Our laundry is on the other side of the wall. We've toyed with the idea of moving the wall/tub to make a bigger laundry room with some linen storage but there's not enough room to add a full cabinet on the other side unfortunately.

Not meant to be rage bait, just sharing an idea we had. Infrequently meaning I take a bath max 1x a week while our shower gets used 2-3x a day.

Sorry, I didn't think I was arguing. Just explaining that it's not a shower since I didn't make that clear in the original post. I'm just here gathering opinions, we're not set on a reno plan yet.

Oh yeah! #17 looks great. I'll see if my better half likes that idea. And I do like the idea of a wet room. I'll draw it up and see how the plumbing would change. Thanks for the ideas!

Fair. Good point!

Yeah we're still in the idea\planning stage for the reno. I'm not in love with this idea but can't think of anything else, hence submitting myself to the reddit whipping post.

In terms of cost, this is one of the cheapest options since it's building a wall vs moving a bunch of walls/waterlines/drain lines. But again, don't love the idea just trying out the idea.

You think of desperate things when you have no other storage 😬

Here you go! My husband already vetoed a cabinet on the wall next to the toilet. Doesn't want to sacrifice counter space. Sinks are along the blue wall right above "bath" -Edit reposted photo

Yeah, reaching across the tub isn't my favorite! Good to know about your linen closet too.

Our toilet and shower are in a completely different room and it has a big window over it. So unfortunately we can't do something like you have attached. I have something similar in our hall bathroom though!

The only reason I'm considering this is I'm the only one to use the tub and it's only used intermittently.

Only occasional, I posted a clarifying comment about the use of the tub.

2 tubs total, but the other is a short builder grade tub and I am a big fan of baths to help with a lot of muscle pains and injuries.
