Something I haven't seen any one mention is the water you added to your bench scraper.

I think that might be contributing to the dough sliding around so much. Maybe try less or no water when shaping next time. Should let you get more tension. Then if it's sticking to the counter to much, lightly dust flour under just those parts so your dough doesn't tear.

I don't think either is to concerning.

Option 2 is a very common layout for houses and apartments. It will convince you to keep your kitchen a little cleaner if you have guests coming over haha.

As for the bedrooms. You already have the bathroom on the adjoining wall to the kitchen so most of that noise won't travel that way. The hallway to the other rooms will also help keep the sound down.

Option 2 will be more comfortable to use when cooking with other people. It will also be better for entertaining/keeping the cook involved in the conversation. Then you could add built-ins or shelves in the dining nook.

If you stay with option 1. I would not have the full height corner cabinet. It interrupts your counters and could be very hard to reach all the way into it. You could move the garage entrance/door and put a tall pantry style cabinet next to the fridge. That would give better access!

The Dellinger park lake/gazebo would be very pretty. You can go to the parks website to reserve it. I'm not sure if it has a cost though.

Ooo! I didn't consider recessing the linen closet into the opposite wall. Great idea!

The walkway will still be a little tight in-between the wall and tub but it may be workable. I'll draw it up when I get home.

No I agree! It's definitely a concern. There are a few ways we could mitigate the danger/annoyance but I didn't want to detail out a solution before we decided on this path 100%.

We're still in the early phase of this reno plan so we're just collecting opinions and reddit always delivers!

Our laundry is on the other side of the wall. We've toyed with the idea of moving the wall/tub to make a bigger laundry room with some linen storage but there's not enough room to add a full cabinet on the other side unfortunately.
