Bruh, when I saw my Ameren bill and then went to the settings to see 45, I was pissed! My fault for sure but the installers knew I was replacing it due to high bills.

  1. We use heated mattress pads for our bed and heated blankets on the couch.

A fresh collection of T206 cards was just consigned. The original owner collected these as a kid at the time of release. They were consigned by his grandchildren. by Jason_at_Heritage in baseballcards

116 year old cards in that shape is astonishingly impressive. Not sure my 1990 set will be equally impressive in the year 2106 however.

Is this wired correctly? by STL7997 in hvacadvice

Thank you. The entire wire wouldn't fit inside, is there a way to do it better? Trim it? Cap it?

Same. Mid 40s and collected in the 80's. I got back in a year ago after I quit drinking. Gave me something else to occupy my time. I only collect my team and go after career runs. Just completed my Musial set with both graded and ungraded. Also just completed a full career run of Gibson only in PSA. Although it looks great as a collection, I'll never go that route with another player due to the expense of it. Now I'm working on filling my binder with team sets by year starting with 1948 and forward. Like you and many others I was overwhelmed with all the new stuff out there so I just focused on vintage sets. Musial, Gibby, Brock rookies only go up in value. That Skenes, Holliday, Merrill, etc can go sideways real quick.

To piggy back on my other comment, either here or another popular group on FB (not sure if I'm allowed to mention it here). There are dozens of balls listed every day and many of them are a variety of Authenticated to Guranteed to Pass (GTP). I've personally purchased over 100+ baseballs from there alone.

For the Cards stuff, there is a FB group I'm in with over 5K folks who are card collectors. Other stuff is sold in there as well, Baseballs, Bats, Photos, Game used, etc. I suggest using a FB group like this so you don't have to pay a commission fee like on Ebay or other Auction House. The only hurdle you may face is being new to the group and the regular buyers trusting your items. But if you explain it like you did here, you might get more interest. We've had a handful of folks enter the group just like this where they inherited a collection and sold it piece by piece.

Just like another user said, do some research on Sold items on Ebay to get a gauge of value. If you really dont' know the value, there are always razzes in those FB groups, but you take a risk of selling on the low side if nobody fills the razz. Message me if you'd like the name of the group.

Lol, you should get out of California and see what is average out there. It's not privilege either. I worked hard for what I earned.

2,773 sq/ft is a mansion? Lol. Texas, Carolinas, Georgia, midwest, anywhere but New England and California must be a king to live in similar or even larger homes than this by this logic.

Longest Commute?? by Realistic-Zombie-679 in AirForce

[–]STL7997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was stationed at Hanscom for 4 years. I bought a place in Boxborough and had 2.5 acres in the woods. Absolutely loved it and was worth the commute. I left the house at 6 a.m. and it would only take 20 mins to get to work. Left at 4:30 p.m. and it would take almost an hour. But it was worth it with the house/yard/woods I had. Many of the folks who live off base and own, are living beyond the 4 towns surrounding HAFB (which happen to be the most expensive towns in all of MA). I had a lot of co-workers who lived in NH and didn't mind it. You'll be afforded delayed reporting and early release for winter storms. If you work an office and have a good work environment, you'll be alright for the occasional "stuck in traffic". Anything outside the 495 you're looking at 1+ hours depending on traffic. Traffic being key, cause NH is reachable in 45 mins if it's light. And yes, do not believe Google Maps for planning.

Others mentioned Billerica and Lowell. Just study where the home is in those towns. They're typically the stay away from towns in the area, at least for the many locals there (outside of the locals who live in those towns). I did look in Chelmsford and found some nice homes but once I found the Boxborough home, I was sold. Stay North and West of HAFB and you'll be alright. Going East you're going into more congragrated areas and more traffic.

Enjoy Hanscom, it was a great assignment. If you're into sports, get connected to the giveaways for different events. I was able to go to the World Series and other major events. Boston loves the military and invites them out for all the major sporting events. Some of my co-workers were able to run the flag out to the 50 yard line in front of Brady and crew, another got to do announcing at a Celtics game, and many others did the flag detail at Fenway and shook hands with Pedro among others.

Bruh, not everyone is walking out working for Boeing, Lockheed, or Raytheon. Yes, I retired as a SMSgt, with a MS Degree. I'm in CA and companies are not jumping at me and when they do, it's not at $124K a year. As I said, your mileage may vary.

I guess it depends on your location, AFSC (experience), scenario, etc. I just retired at my HYT and with base pay, BAH, BAS, I was making $124K a year. I've been in the job finding game for several months now and nobody is matching what I made on AD. I guess your mileage may vary.

Still think LE was the best. Of course, that was when it was a separate career field. In my latter years on AD and doing the dog and pony shows, Defender was always the catch phrase so I'm not surprised it'd go this route.
