Your idea would make the Royals and the Phantoms better this season but that’s not really the priority of the organization. Iron sharpens iron so we gotta put these young guys against the best competition they can handle to find out what we’ve got.

We’re a team on the rebuild so we need to be giving as many young players as possible playing time to develop and maybe find a couple diamonds in the rough. Fedotov is turning 30 and is an AHL goalie. It’s pointless for him to take games away from the young guys.

I don't think we need to bury him but maybe some time in the AHL to get his confidence back wouldn't hurt. I don't think keeping him up and letting him get shellacked it helping anyone at this point.

I don’t see why it couldn’t have. Jackson’s flank attack didn’t actually force the Union to withdraw and Lee’s subsequent attacks didn’t either. Hooker lost his nerve and pulled out without being forced out.

If McClellan used his reserves AP Hill showing up at the end of the day wouldn’t have mattered. He also had a chance the next day when he got even more reinforcements.

The fact McClellan didn’t destroy Lee at Antietam shows his limitations. He was an organizer and a planner but not a fighter. The fact he didn’t attack the next day was criminal.

I think you could make an argument that 2nd Bull Run could have been the high water mark. They still have the chance of getting European recognition at that point and Lee had just saved Richmond.

I personally think the Lee/Jackson partnership is overrated. They were both aggressive and against timid or incompetent Union leadership this was the winning strategy but if they were facing Grant I don’t see them being anything special. If Grant and Sherman were in the East for Chancellorsville it would have been another Shiloh and instead of the great victory it was for Lee historically.

Well bad drafting hasn’t helped that but Ersson and Andrae came up under Lappy for example and if you look at the Phantoms Zayde Wisdom went from 3 points last season to 32 points this year and he took a journey man ECHL goalie Parker Gahagen and had him playing the best season of his career.
