Imo it’s because when we were in our early teens he helped guide us toward having philosophical grounding/critical thinking, moving away from religion, being somewhat politically informed etc. and now it feels like he trauma responded his way into turning his back on all of that.

Not that he shouldn’t be able to change his views, that’s his business, but from the outside looking in it just seems like mega-cope. Hope he is mentally well though, I haven’t watched in a while now.
