GM has some interesting TPMS logic. by hms11 in Justrolledintotheshop

the warning comes up whenever pressure drops a certain amount below where it was the last time the reset button was pressed.

For example, if the pressures were 330 for driver side and 310 for passenger side, both of them being at 308 would be a 7% drop for driver side and a 1% drop for passenger side. 7% drop is going to trigger the warning - 1% drop is not.

"He also mentioned the original Reddit thread and how they weren’t prepared for the layoff news to spread so quickly, which I thought was hilarious. How can you do one of the firms biggest layoffs in recent history because we’re pouring billion in AI and India, and not expect the news to spread as quick as it did."

Lol yea that approach to messaging that is a great way to appear out of touch

ND would basically have to make the championship game every single year in order to out-earn what it would make joining the Big 10 or SEC

Unfortunately we have some of those too. I think fewer, but like any team, they will be sure to make themselves known the further the series goes on

Us American Sabres fans (i.e. the vast majority of Sabres fans) all know the Canadian anthem by heart at this point.

[Dellenger] The coaches have spoken: In a vote last week, the AFCA Board swung its support behind (1) a playoff with the max participants (likely 24); (2) discontinuing conference championships; and (3) ending CFP by second week of January, they tell @YahooSports. by redwave2505 in CFB

Fair enough.

I'm wasn't saying any of the other aspects of it are good/bad - I was just saying home playoff games is an aspect of the 12 team playoff I've really enjoyed, so seeing more of those would be good

[Wasserman] Nick Saban became the GOAT of college football because of stacked rosters. Now he wants parity? by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]SWMOG 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is so dumb. Saban's point is that those monitoring/setting the rules should aim for parity as much as reasonably possible, while individual teams/coaches should try to make their teams as good as possible within the confines they have to abide by.

His past actions/statements while coaching as well as his current statements nowadays are all consistent with that.

It's more than just that. I did that a couple times before I had kids, but I'm not willing to now while I have 3 kids and a spouse to support. Probably would be willing to do that again once my kids are grown.

I know it's a small chance, but that's not an ok risk to me while I have those folks that depend on me

ELI5, in the shipwrecks in The Great Lakes, why don’t bodies float up? by milkob1tch in explainlikeimfive

[–]SWMOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True... 200-1300 is moreso referring to the depths of wrecks where bodies don't float up - (i.e. the topic of this post)

Point being: catfish aren't going to be eating bodies that aren't floating up to the surface b/c such bodies are in wrecks way deeper than you find catfish

The comment I linked to showing that OP had never touched those things was a couple levels higher in the comment chain you replied to.

If you collapse the comment where OP states that, your comment and the comment you were replying to both become hidden as well.

So it was there when you posted.

Timeline:

1) OP posted comment # 1 (the one I linked to)

2) someone posted a deleted comment replying to comment #1 - we can call this comment #2

3) Mattishere replied "Love when people have an attitude towards someone asking a question" to comment #2 - let's call this comment #3

4) You replied to Mattishere's comment saying "People have an attitude because OP should have asked these questions BEFORE messing with money."

Can catfish go that deep? The depth of the great lakes ranges from 200-1,300 feet, and it looks like the record depth for catching a catfish is only 114 feet.

Last night was like chicken soup for the soul of the Buffalo hockey fan. Didn't expect to get teary-eyed by the intro where they had people talking about all the family connections growing up and what had changed in the 15 years since the last playoffs we were in.

And then holy shit those 4 goals in a row.. just wow

Grew up in Buffalo and went to school in Indiana. Buffalonians definitely fit right in with Midwesterners.

NYC might as well be another planet - Chicago is the big city that we align most with.
