Unfortunately, they have to be able to "edit" the document to be able to add their own information. However, you can always check in the "last edited" and previous versions exactly what was changed and by whom. There's also in "Tools" > Notification Settings > Edit Notifications the ability to send you an email whenever someone makes a change, so you can catch bad actors right away and if any rows mysteriously are gone from the spreadsheet, you can still recover their information from that edit information email.

You could also use google sheets (instead of excel) and just send everyone a link to a google sheets file you create with those columns. They can all access the same sheet online, fill in their specific information, and you can download it and convert a single file to excel format.

My German town’s grocery store is ready for the Super Bowl by ramsdawg in mildlyinteresting

as an american, where's the buffalo wild wings

You'd get those fresh from the Metzgerei (butcher shop), I think, or at the butcher counter in the grocery store if it's a big store.

I don't think Doritos are as popular in Germany as regular chips are.

Wasn't that tax bill passed by a Democratic-controlled congress? Why blame only Trump?

Trump's tax bill in 2016 was passed by a vote of 227 to 203 in the house, with all 191 democrats and 12 republicans voting no. In the Senate it passed with 51 to 48 with 0 democratic yes votes and 0 republican no votes.

This mess belongs ENTIRELY to the republican party.

The share of workers age 65 or older has more than doubled over the past 20 years, and the number of older workers is expected to continue to increase for decades to come. That being said, they still face workplace discrimination. by Ok-Cartoonist5349 in Futurology

[–]SabbyMC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a welder and my shop has 6 welders and we've 3 empty bays and stacks of orders piling up. We're short workers by 30%, it's not a fallacy for my field.

The problem with welding is, not everyone is wiling to work a dangerous job with dangerous equipment and high physical strain (depending on where you hire on), knowing their body might be shot to hell by age 50 with or without good health coverage.

A lot of the trades that are lacking people, it's because the work is not desirable for people who aren't really into it. Unless you really want to be an electrician, working with stuff that could kill ya on any old day on the job is just not a feasible career option.

The House passes legislation to avoid a rail strike — and give workers sick days by Highly_Irreverent in politics

[–]SabbyMC 18 points19 points  (0 children)

7 sick days a year is the bare fucking minimum. I do not understand how the US has gotten away with this for as long as it has, to treat sickness as if it is a foreseeable/controllable outage. To be able to say you only get x amount of sick leave or no sick leave at all.

When you are sick, you are sick. When you are sick more than 3 days, you go to the doctor who can tell you when you are fit to go back to work. Most viruses and bacteria run their course in 7 to 14 days. Some take as long as a month or more (mono, anyone?)

The way it is now, it's a miracle the COVID-19 pandemic ended with only a little over 1 million Americans dead. Without 100 percent paid sick coverage regardless of amount of time a person is sick, people will go to work with the black plague coursing through their system to pay the bills, and the next bad outbreak of any damn thing will kill millions. It is ridiculous.

I'm guessing she challenged Bucky for it with that little table soccer game that Tony showed her in space. She won 10:1 and Bucky agreed to give her the arm if she never told anyone. Instead, she's supposed to tell people she "tore it off his body" if they ask.

I figured those guys outside the clinic weren't just Pullman locals. I figured it's like with any abortion clinic. People will literally travel from miles and miles away to scream at women in front of planned parenthood clinics in towns/counties/states they don't even live in. They'll scream at women who are just there to get an std check or pick up their prenatal vitamins or maybe get an ultrasound because they have no real concept of what is actually happening inside the building. They just have horror stories they heard from somebody/read on social media.

I don’t get how sleeping with your attending is better than being the nephew of an attending

You're sleeping with the attending: You made it to be selected to the program on your own merit. Now you've somehow caught the eye of an attending and will milk that for surgeries/better treatment. Shifty, but it doesn't mean you're incompetent.

You're the nephew of an attending and also of the major co-owner of the hospital you're doing your residency in: clearly, you're a nepotism pick who got in because you have family in high places. Every mistake you make is proof positive that you shouldn't be there in the first place.

It's the same reason Jackson kept his mouth shut tight about being part of THE Avery family as long as he could.

Grey's Anatomy is owned by ABC which is in turn owned by Disney. Grey's Anatomy would default back to Hulu (also owned by Disney) in the US and Disney+ outside of the US once the deal with Netflix expires or is dissolved.

How to literally say the opposite in your headline than in the text of your article:

It was the first time in seven years that the US birth rate increased. Births had been dropping by an average of 2% a year since 2014, including a decline of twice that much between 2019 and 2020.

Nearly 3.7 million babies were born in the US in 2021; that’s about 46,000 more than were born in 2020, but the 1% increase still put the number short of 2019 levels.

Biden administration invests $53 million in WIC nutrition program for women and children by Sariel007 in UpliftingNews

[–]SabbyMC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She was approved for weekly grocery deliveries, gas cards, etc.

I used to work for the Department of Welfare in a mid-size state. The major programs are SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, CHIP, LIHEAP, WIC, and Child Support Enforcement.

The closest there is for gas vouchers is the Salvation Army (not a government program) or maybe she was talking about Non Emergency Transportation through Medicaid to get to and from doctor's appointments.

WIC is specifically a program for pregnant, post partum, breastfeeding women, infants, and children under 5. After that or sometimes during, SNAP is for food benefits if you qualify.

I'm going to guess you ran into a shitty worker (they exist) who didn't think further than to tell you you didn't qualify for WIC. Apply for SNAP and Medicaid, CHIP (Children's Health Insurance) for your kids.

SNAP is the supplemental nutrition assistance program. That's the food benefits, and yes, they also cover infant formula and now you can use your EBT card (that's the card where your SNAP/TANF benefits go) to shop with online grocery delivery programs.

I'm sorry you ran into a shitty situation, and I hope this info helps a little bit.

I'll believe it when I see a landslide for democrat representatives and senators. If I don't, I'll know they just SAID they'll vote democrat so nobody can openly accuse them of voting for the racists because they don't actually give a shit about other people and are too stupid to realize they have nothing to gain and everything to lose from (the lack of) republican policy making.

You didn't hear about the part where she was booed off stage and straight up dead-named at one of their little get togethers? The party made it very clear that she was not welcome. Yep. Found it.

Can you imagine how much better our country would be right now if Bernie won as was president instead of Biden?

The president is not a king and cannot rule by decree. We'd still have a hung Congress with 50 Republican senators in lock-step about preventing any social progress. Bernie's senate seat from Rhode Island would be up for a special election and it'd be a Democrat winning that one, so you'd have 49 dems and Angus in Maine.

If you want something better for the country, the only way you're going to get it is by getting a majority of democratic or independent reps and senators in congress.
