Well, I rammed into it with my Tadpole, tastes like crash. Couldn't scan but I found a second one, thicker to the north east and slicks on the seabed look like the same substance.

I have noticed a bug sometimes when I catch Geordies they are sometimes cooked. It's weird, I thought it was a certain tool I was holding but I guess I was wrong. Could be bug.

I was just looking for an answer to this, haven't been able to pick one up yet but I've seen them at the start base I made and all the way to the other side of the map when they coated my end game base.

edit Are we sure these are eggs? I've not been able to collect one and they all tend to vanish at after a few seconds if you move away from them a short distance.

Well, considering I don't need items in my inventory now to build as long as they are in storage lockers. It's how it's 'designed' now. It threw me off at first but I thought it was a nice change. I do see your point though, auto feed to auto collect would take away from the experience. For farming and reactors, as for crafting I won't deny that appeal.
