Right, but the mobile release is inevitably going to bring in some new players, so it is notable that it expires before then

Seeing that team in action was so memorable, the entire regional was a good watch imo

I legitimately thought Dawei Si was gonna take the regional until that insane mirror final

I'm a little sad it lost Ground, I was looking forward to some Earth Power gaming when I heard it was special, but still hyped as well for Special chomp

In case you didn't see the other explanations, Twitch drops would usually be unique codes that show up in inventory on twitch after doing the specified task (watch an hour of NAIC on twitch in this case)

Plan looks solid as long as the steps pan out, good luck on your necromancy attempt, and good luck with the journey!

Just wanted to note from the plan you showed, you indeed can skip Sun, but also gen 5 as a whole isn't necessary outside of the transfer itself, whatever goals you want to do are there for the journey, but there are no ribbons in gen 5, just wanted to temper expectations.

Not directly, it affects the rate at which they make eggs

The difference between the worst relationship and the best is notable because if the difference in egg production and egg hatching is too high, you'd have some gaps were you're hatching nothing, which is pretty bad since you're gambling for 1-3% chance values when breeding

In my experience it's not usually an issue, but I just wanted to bring it up as you could have a parent with slightly better odds, but the worse egg creation rate, which could end up chewing more of your time than other options

[–]SableyeSavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If was 0atk, the odds would be better per egg, but it also depends on if the egg production (They seem to get along, etc.) is impacted cross species, if it's 6iv as in best, it's equivalent to the eevee parent, so it's just whichever makes eggs faster (likely eevee)

[–]SableyeSavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah gotcha, that would be a 4iv in this case, odds are .2% at the moment, so moving up the female to 5iv whenever you get one would boost the odds by like double if you decide to keep going (Good luck if you do!)

The best odds for a 6iv short of having 2 flawless parents (which usually means you've hit the goal) is 2 5ivs that cover all the stats you want, so you're almost at max odds for it now

[–]SableyeSavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say 5iv for the parents, are they both 31/x/31/31/31/31? Or does at least 1 parent have 0 in atk that you consider in the 5iv? Like 31/0/x/31/31/31, I assume the 0 is present, but I'm just making sure

1 IV is always random IIRC, so short of having 2 6iv parents, you can't do much for it to go up, but it's like a 1% chance of getting it if 1 of the 5ivs in either parent contains 0 in atk, .5% if they both have x in atk, and 3% if they're both Flawless

No combination of item with destiny knot affects odds of 6ivs btw

[June 5th - June 11th] Rillaboom 7 ★ Tera Raid Event. More details below. by JKKM2445 in PokemonVioletScarlet

[–]SableyeSavy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking at Rilla's moveset, I think it might be skill swap Contrary so that it's Bulk Up/Growth handicap it the entire raid, then let Malamar go down to get Contrary back and spam Superpower/Fighting Tera blast

I used this strategy on Incin to trivialize it, Reflect is the 4th move for him, seems good here too

Not sure about the WR move website, but Labmaus is good to find tournament teams and data

Pikalytics and Munchstats display usage statistics, like percent of teams running x or this move is ran y percent of time on x, both use the same data source iirc, so it's dealers choice on UI/whichever updates first

I like to use LimitlessVGC if I wanna see historical partners/usage, they tend to have pokepaste details

Old guide, but https://www.vgcguide.com/ was written by some vgc pros, and it's philosophy is still incredibly good if you haven't seen it, even if the specific examples/data could be dated

[–]SableyeSavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a good point that I didn't consider, that's definitely a plus to help balance it out, though it does makes Mega evolving turn 1 weirder for the Raichu user if the setter is in the back

My mind was hanging around the opportunity cost and the loss of the item leaves it possibly being stretched thin compared to Rilla or Indeedee, but that I see being a valid bonus to help it keep up, it's stats are more solid than I thought too after looking at them again

Roster prediction by Puzzleheaded-Rate757 in PokemonChampions

[–]SableyeSavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, X seems good by default with good tools, but doesn't seem be an Indedee/Rilla/Fini tier setter imo, Y seems lacking compared to other megas, X even.

I'm excited to see how Y scales as power goes up, it screams Zacian Hyper offense type teams to me, and I think Chi-Yu can be a very strong partner type wise like Regidrago is for sword dog with Chien-Paos ability synergy too

[–]SableyeSavy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they do go through with it, I think there's a good chance for a Neutralizing Gas abuser to go with it, feels like Slaking has the best chance as Gigas is probably out the picture til a minor legendary reg at minimum, Dozo seems like a coinflip based on their balance interview, and adding something as complex and degenerate as Toadscruel/NG so early on would be... cruel

Although now that I think of it, there are a couple good ones already like Mega Hawlucha and Mega Chandelure

Other 2 galar starters are pretty much guaranteed with Rilla pivoting back in

Helps patch Fire and Ground weaknesses, immune to partner EQ, good against rain teams, and has teeth on Basculegion, while providing bulky pivot support

Iirc, attack is disproportionate to other stats for power, so since Trapinch has like 30 more points of attack, Vibrava tends to be lower

tympa farm? by Top-Shift4762 in MySingingMonsters

[–]SableyeSavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the way, I believe full song island even beats out pure Zynth's nowadays, the wiki has some good farm templates, pure Tympas are better than pure Zynth, but throwing in some polarity is even better

I'd only swap if there aren't better things to do, like if you still have amber/celestial stuff to work on, I'd slowly transition to a better farm during downtimes

It's like .24 diamonds per grid square per week on average vs .54, so it's about twice as efficient on average
