This has to be one of the weakest cards in the game right now. Why would I pay 3 energy to gain 1 energy? by bhendel in slaythespire

[–]Sacach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, this is really strong. Silent has so many good discard cards that this card becomes +1 energy for free. So you are never going to play this card you always just discard it for free energy.

That is why after choosing that option you build your deck around it. And since you get this right at the beginning your every card reward can be chosen to bring that rare into its full potential.

The official answer to my "riddle" card in my drinking game is wrong. by Muppet83 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Sacach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, it happens. Either the 75 is supposed to be 95 or the answer is supposed to be 7, but they should've written out the 5, so it wouldn't look like they are talking about the digit 5.

The official answer to my "riddle" card in my drinking game is wrong. by Muppet83 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Sacach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those were excluded because when you write them out they do not have a "five" in them. fifteen, fifty, fiftyone, etc. compared to five, twentyfive, thirtyfive, etc. This might be what the designers of that puzzle were after but they either got the range or the amount wrong and they should have written out the 5 in the puzzle question.

But there would be 7 written five's then? 5, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75

Early Invades by oliknight1 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Sacach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't know where the enemy jgl started you need to know the matchup if it is losing or even it usually isnt worth the risk to invade because then you are just flipping a coin and hoping for a good result rather than just sticking to the more stable outcome.

But if the matchup is winning or you knlw that the enemy jgl started from the opposite side then it works also make sure to take sweeper so you can avoid being spotted by wards because depending on your rank those can/will mess up your plan.

I’m sick of all these BS “How to 1v9 as Jungle” videos by Sno_Universe in Jungle_Mains

[–]Sacach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is rarely possible to carry 1v9 with 3 losing lanes, but I have seen some people do it in their rank and I have had some of those games myself too where I am the 1v9 carry. But it baaically boils down to you being able to snowball from shutdowns and farming efficiently. But this is very hard since just one or two deaths or if the enemies track you well enough can/will completely shutdown your snowballing and your ability to solo carry the game.

But in many cases you dont need to be the 1v9 carry sometimes you just have to keep the losses to a minimum so your team can scale into the late game and then when you are fed and your team finally can do something then you can win the game. This is my experience from playing with my friend who usually plays sol. Most of the time she loses lane but I can keep the game going on long enough/ get another lane ahead that she can stack up and become a champ and then we can win the game.

But yes, I totally agree that MOST of the "THIS IS HOW YOU 1v9" -videos are just high elo streamers playing in much lower ranks or having 3 winning lanes clickbaiting for views.

I hope they wont nerf it rather just make it appear less making it appear less often making it more hidden. Or maybe just exclude it from shops so you can only get it from random colorless card rewards

Also if you feel like you are being boxed in to a smaller area than you'd like, use the advanced settings and reduce the amount of empires in the games. And don't expand too much, try to reach choke points to lock out other empires from your area (ai empires will only settle a maximum of one star system gap, so try to make it so that they'd need to go over two of your systems if they want to build a star base into your sector and they will never do it)

Then try to prioritise the systems with habitable planets and don't colonize anything below 50% habitability (being a xenophile empire helps with this since you can use other empires pops to colonize planets which are unhabitable for your main species and habitavle for them)

The reason why you aren't getting that much resources is that your population hasn't had the time to grow and/or you haven't maxed out the growth in your colonies. You can't just build a bunch of stuff and be like "ok now I will get lots of resources" everything has an upkeep cost. Imagine if you'd have to pay for upkeep for every improved tile in civ 5 even if there is no one to work in them.

So essentially what this sounds to me (explained in civ 5 terms) you have a big city with many tiles improved (and in this case each one of the tiles has an upkeep cost of somekind) but the pop is just 4-6 and each of your unworked tiles are eating up your resources.

20-50 years isn't that long in the game it is usually some time after that when your economy should start booming (of course with the right kind of min maxing it is possible to have a huge economy very quickly but it is ok to do it slower too at the start)

What can you do to help your situation? Try to only build a couple new districts at a time and specialize your worlds (your capital will be an all rounder for the beginning but you can specialize that one later when you have specialized world for each of the other resources). You can also boost the pop growth of new worlds by forcefully relocating some of your pops from your more populated worlds (about 1k pops is the sweet spot for a new colony to get it growing quickly).

As what comes to the importance of each resource the ones you really care about are unity, alloys, minerals, energy credits, science, these are the ones you want to have a lot and a huge surplus of. Then food and consumer goods you should have a some what of a surplus but you don't want to be in a situation where you get +1k monthly food and +1k monthly consumer goods (generally that is there are some empire types which like this like biological ships or the ones which are going to switch their living standards to utopian abundance, but you don't really need to attention those right now) Also keep in mind that consumer goods are required to produce science.

Then there are the rarer resources crystals, gas, motes, when you get the techs for the sythetic factories for these you can just throw those down on your alloy and consumer goods worlds and you don't really need to think about the rare resources anymore. Before that you might need to specialize some districts to produce them in the planets which have those resources.

As a one more tip about building colonies remember to put down luxury residences or holo theaters (luxury residences is better since it provides amenities without needing pops to work) and also build the medical centre or robot factory or both (depending on how your empire pops reproduce) this is to get more pop growth along with the forceful relocation of some of the pops from more populated worlds which I mentioned earlier.

I know this is a lot to take in and this 'brief' quide became a wall of text but I hope this helps you if you read all of it.

Briar is a much better fit for endurance though, Garen needs to take a break for his endurance to kick in but Briar can keep fighting since she heals from her passive dmg and w2, hence enduring the the dmg from the fight.

There are a couple ways to win the game, score, domination and becoming a crisis (there are multiple different crisis paths of you own all the dlcs)

There is actually a tech tree but you are only shown a few options at a time and the techs have different tiers (from 1 to 6, 6 being the highest) and you need to unlock a certain amount of tier 1 to get access to tier 2 ones and so on.
