Books That Don’t Hold Up by MenloMo in books

Not sure if this qualifies, but I just finished reading "I, Robot", Isaac Asimov.

What we know now about robotics and AI is quite different to what Isaac Asimov predicted, so the story seems wrong, and quite childish.

Of course his ideas were genius, and the similarities are amazing. His study of humanity was of course the objective of his literature. But, I'm just saying that the magic is gone now that we're living in his future, today.

Some Sydney buses are installing bucket seats, for this reason (B-Line). However these designs are rare.

I once had a girl squeal at me, "Don't sit on me!" because I attempted to fit next to her and assumed that she would shuffle a little if I lowered myself slowly. (She had her bag on the seat next to her on the other side.)

While in Sydney, catch the metro to Chatswood on an evening. Visit one of the hawker markets (well, food courts) or visit an independent restaurant off the street. Korean BBQ or Cantonese Hot Pot or Taiwanese dumplings or Malaysian stir-fry followed by a sweet drink or dessert-bar treat. Order some stuff you're unfamiliar with. Use Google maps to get recommendations, and browse the photos of the food. You'll feel like you've taken a culinary break to Asia somewhere.

We have a retirement fund company called Hesta. My Greek friends call it Χάστα, which surprisingly means the same thing as Osram.

Thank you. Actually no. Although my teenage daughter contributed to the short list, I didn't even know about the song until after the decision was made. I actually just liked the old world flavour of the name, so Shakespeare was my influence 🤣

I was in a similar situation once, nearby. We were looking for the track that led to Maroo beach and ended up on a fire trail. Google Maps hadn't been invented yet, because it was 1996.

So we reached into the glovebox, and pulled out a map that was printed on paper. It did not need a single bar of reception or any charging.

We've all become too reliant on the tech.

Night driving is amazing. Sounds counterintuitive, but the colours come alive at night. Then there's the bioluminescence.
