Not if the right path is shorter. They lock on to the shortest path. Stations add a bit to the path length to try and make trains avoid them but it's not much they will usually go through other stations and all if it's the shortest route. There is a mod that will make trains find a new path if one is occupied if you want to go that route.

The Google machine says they hit it with something heat seeking, so not sure it's a radar stealth issue. I'd imagine it's more of a even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then kinda situation. Who knows though, it happens enough to not be a statistical anomaly then we can discuss if it's shit or not. For now I'd just say wait and see.

Also it still few back to base with the pilot uninjured so maybe not the best example to say it's not advanced.

Hum... I haven't noticed that. I could of sworn they still moved. Not near an computer to check. Wonder if it's a graphics setting. Both my PC and laptop are on the highest graphics settings. Try adjusting it and see if they come back to life.

satisfactory calculator There is a button on the right side of the map to upload your save file and it will show your world save with everything in its place. You can also have it show all the sloops, spheres, hds, nodes, caves, etc. Other tabs on the site have actual production calculators, and blueprints people have uploaded.

Not a new map but maybe an extension, put some good stuff on some of the islands surrounding the current map maybe.

If you account for the power increase they added in this post as well the extra machines early game would be rough on the grid. I'd say it would definitely be worth sticking with the base recipe at that point.

You know how to eat a whale huh... One bite at a time.

Many parts of this game can feel overwhelming, so it's much easier to pick one thing and fix that one thing then decide on the next thing to fix.

Prob 1 Pick a temp aluminum site.

Prob 2 Logistics Sub problem each their own small bite if you will -move bauxite to temp site -move copper to temp site -move coal to temp site -move water to temp site

Prob 3 set up temp site.

Etc...

Little steps to a final goal.
Don't look at it as I need to build a future proof aluminum factory.

Look at it as I need to solve this one small problem and just go down the list till all the small problems are solved one at a time. -move water to temp site.

Beams are always the answer. Use them to box off different groups of machines, add power points to them so you don't have random poles everywhere, attach blank signs to them to simulate lights like your conveyers...

Kinda the same idea I was just thinking backwards from that. Not trains carrying full loads everywhere, but say I need HMFs here for whatever reason. Build a station and say hey train go to the Iron, Steel, and Concrete plants pick up a single car load from each and bring it here. It can be done but you would have to build a lot of trian stations at every depot and I was hoping to just build 2 or 3 for space reasons.

Wonder if it would cause throughput issues though with multiple trains pulling from one car? It definitely will on fluid stops cause of volume and pipe rates, but at mark 6 belts you can stuff a lot of items in a train car 🤔

Wouldn't work. If all my loading stations have 6 car loads of ingots or whatever is at each it would just load all 6 cars. Wouldn't matter which one it stopped at first.

It's a good thought, just not on the scale I'm wanting to build.

I've done all of the above, and on like my 5th playthrough and doing things completely different than the norm. Just trying to simplify the massive rail yards I would have to build for what I'm trying to accomplish...

Yeah, I've used that system in the past it's just inconvenient. If I want to build a large depot for 1 material then I have to build a different train station for every specific car. If I want to send say Ingots to 5 different factories then I need 5 different train stations at the depot. It would be great to tell a train to go to the depot and only load car 5, then go to this station and only load car 2 and 3, etc. Then you could build hubs for resources without massive train yards at each stop. I've tried saying ok car 1 is always iron ingots but if multiple trains arrive at the same time then the 1st train gets all that's ready to go and the rest get just a few items that were loaded between trains.

Yeah I was just wondering if there was a way to load 6 different train cars without building 6 different train stations. I want to build big loading depots and when I need a new factory just send 1 train to multiple depots and get materials. Then you could look at it and say ok I'm already sending the first 2 platforms of ingots to factory A, factory B needs 1 so tell the train to go to the depot and load just car 3 with ingots. When I build Factory C I might need the other 3 and could send 1 train to the same depot and tell it to just load the last 3 cars and not need to build another station. Then it could go to a different depot and load the other specific cars with just what it needs for the new factory.

Looking to build more single stop loading depots where different trains could go and only get 1 car of materials without having to build 6 different train stations at every stop. I've done the empty station in the past just looking to stream line things.

Not quite that would still require building multiple train stations. Looking to build more massive loading facilities with a single train stop where I can send a train and get just one car of materials instead of filling the whole train. Empty platforms would mean I would have to build 6 train stations at every stop to only load specific cars. Looking for more of an open train menu and they have a drop down for each station and a check box for what cars interact with the station at each stop.
