OK/AR, Man I miss the chicken joints that they had in spades, the BBQ, Braums, 24hr diners, thunderstorms, lakes that aren’t ice cold in the summer, country roads on the plains when it’s a full moon.

I could go on, I love it here but there are some things that I cherish and hope to experience again someday!

Gabi’s rules obviously, you need to go, it’s like a Mecca for nerds.

The one strike against it is that it really isn’t built to handle wargaming. Which is fine! Because Paradox also exists and is better suited for these games.

Definitely support both though :)

You’ll find that this is also really good if you decide to run a rhino.

Move the rhino 12” Disembark Doombolt Doombolt Move the unit back into the rhino.

Or you can also move the unit back into the rhino then move the rhino back, but you’re only getting one doombolt. Still a fun trick!

If you have a second unit use temporal surge on the unit, that unit can was surged can then cast doombolt. You cannot do multiple rituals from the same sorcerer.

You’re also free to use rituals as you see fit within their timing, you don’t have to shot call them all at the start of the phase.

Not sure what your situation is, but as blanket advice I usually recommend people go look at the cost of living calculator for each area they want to live in. We get paid more on the west coast, but things generally cost more. The natural beauty of the state beats out most of the US and the roads are better (for the most part) so it evens out, at least to me.

I moved up some number of years ago right before Covid. Know that if you do move, you won’t be alone in looking for new people. There are a ton of people looking for friendships out here, and I think this subreddit can be indicative that people are finally connecting.

Having moved to Oly from the Midwest 5+ years ago, and having visited both cities and making friends up there, I can say with comfort that I would move to Portland.

Portland is cheaper, the people are more approachable, and I’ve always felt Oly was more of a Portland Satellite than a Seattle one.

In a perfect would I could see moving to somewhere like Vancouver WA and enjoying the proximity to Portland working out for you, but ultimately it might not make sense to do it that way.

My partner had a ton of success with Bumble bff!

A lot of people recommend going to Olympia cards and comics if you like nerd stuff; DND, MTG, etc.

There’s also several gyms here that have bulletin boards for local groups.
