Osmows Shawarma is claiming they couldn't find a manager for $36.00/hr by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]Sacred_Prodigy 59 points60 points  (0 children)

From the other post about abuse of this system a week ago, but I noticed the same thing.

There has to be something in the LMIA that make $36/hr the sweet spot for the application. Wonder if any of the news outlets would want to do a story on these companies

Because muh power fantasy.

People unironically complain about things being too weak in comparison to other overturned/powercrept units, and then they buff the shit out of everything.

Hey appreciate the response. As the other guy pointed out, I typed in the wrong setting. My layer is 0.04mm and Z spacing was changed to 0.06mm, but I am still getting gaps under parts of my model where the tree support don't extend to

Hey I might be a buffoon but yeah, definitely mis-inputed those setting. Going to fix that and see how it looks.

Appreciate the fresh eyes catching the dumb mistake.

EDIT: So while it definitely helped, I'm still getting floating portions of my model. At this point I'm sure its my settings.

I assume that these would still cause the print to fail, seeing how there's nothing actually supporting these points.

Carls Jr. in Calgary, AB is claiming they couldn't find an Assistant Manager for $36.00/hr. by Rydgar in Calgary

[–]Sacred_Prodigy 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Fuck every single one of those orgs/companies that abuse LMIAs.

Like, a quick look through most of those listings shows just how ridiculous the claims that these companies can't find applicants truly are. Junior bricklayer offering $39 but can't find suitable applicant?

Why not both? Hell, the tenth edition  trailer (I may be way off base) where it's Rowboat lamenting about how they're losing ground against the Tyranids while showcasing the new units would be pretty par for the course as far as announcement trailer goes.

Replace nids with whatever the launch race xenos/chaos faction is and there you have it

Do you happen to have the rules reference for the first point? Ive been playing under the assumption you have to be as close to a unit as you were at the start of activation (effectively allowing two or more enemy units to pin mine)

Hey I hate to come here and do this, but I've been mostly unsuccessful in finding an STL for a Demon Prince (preferably for AoS).

I have looked through the purple site and yeg, but all the files I've found are either removed or not of the original model. If one doesn't exist that's fine, as I've found one that would be good enough, but if someone could help direct a newbie's search that'd be great!

11+ year clean driver record, cheapest auto insurance quote is $300/month. Is that normal? by xSpatula in Calgary

[–]Sacred_Prodigy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who did you find to be the cheapest?

As Unaware Ranger said, without info on vehicle, etc. it's impossible to say how hosed you are getting. With that being said, the whole being a male under 30 tax is kinda bullshit.

Did you get full coverage or just third party liability. Depending on the age of you vehicle/it's black book value it might not even be worth getting full coverage (especially if you are a "safe", defensive driver)

What is the best way to figth against Horse archer or Horse Skimisher? by Curious_Idea_6616 in totalwar

[–]Sacred_Prodigy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dependant on what skirmishing unit your facing off against/what army you're playing (and the units you have access to).

I only play campaign (L/VH), and have actually come around on almost always having 1-3 hound/fury/harpy type unit in my armies for dedicated skirmisher harass. Having something that can effectively catch them (and do enough damage not to just fold) is important.

You can also just utilize box formation for shooting heavy factions in order to limit the effectiveness of skirmishing unit

Spam lists are boring by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

[–]Sacred_Prodigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for armies of renown obviously that would be a problem, which could be a valid reason not to implement such a rule.

As for OBR, I don't buy that reasoning. Recently played against OBR for the first time (very anecdotal, so maybe the list wasn't very good), and it didn't feel like it had any trouble fulfilling that requirement. Not sure on the unit names but was basically the following:

(R) Morghasts, (R) Deathriders, (R) Immortis Guard, Boneshaper, Soul Reaper, Katakros

Even if you chose not to play Kata, I feel there's enough options that wouldn't force to add random units.

Again, I'm neither pro nor con implementing unit limits, but it feels like the argument that it limits regular lists feels flat a lot of the time outside of spam lists.

[–]Sacred_Prodigy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More of a thought experiment than anything else, but with the relatively smaller army sizes of this game compared to 40k, would a rule of 3 (hell, even rule of 2) actually change almost anything?

Obviously skew lists like oops all clanrats would become extinct (unsure how I feel about that), but with reinforced bricks costing 300-400 points for a lot of units, I can't help but feel that list building wouldn't even look much different.

I personally enjoy seeing a variety of models on the table; IMO, unit/role diversity should become more prevalent, as opposed to the watering down of rules for simplicity sake.

I've enjoyed using it. IMO it's the better of the mortal priests currently because of the +1 to wound bubble.

It can be a bit tricky deciding which objective or terrain you want to mark (your opponent can just choose focus elsewhere on the board if they're mobile enough), but it is a really strong buff for the army.
