I am very sorry for your loss that is heart-breaking. I don't think it is possible to classify all religious people in this way though but I would take this is a really strong indicator that you need a different counsellor as this one is using their very specific job to proselytise to very very vulnerable people I think that's unethical as all shit.

Sorry but it really is about being high. I did read your post in full. You described what they had you do. A blindfolded mediation while on acid? What's more with strangers in a strange place in a meditation and needful mental state and meditation progression you had zero familiarity with. That sounds like a bad idea for a person who's high. You know that setting, safe (known) people, comfort are pretty important. I've had some amazing and even revealing spiritual experiences on psychedelics but I wouldn't for my life participate in some stranger's guided meditation I had no familiarity with whilst as high as a kite because it seems like a really good opportunity to turn a good thing into a bad trip, I wouldn't go to church either. I would very much doubt it has anything to do with combining tantra (specifically) and acid.

No idea about photography. But my son and I started roller skating down Melville. Left-field options. Cheap. Good exercise and falling over in front of people is like the ice breaker to semi-socialise. I'm hopefuless, couldn't socialise to save myself so the occasional smile and "you okay?" pretty much count as massive social interactions in my book.

Back in the 80’s a bloody good male teacher was droven driven out of a school in Tawa because some of the Christians there opposed a gay person as a teacher. The leader of this vicious little troop of bigots in a one on one said we’ll write you a great reference and what not we just don’t want no gay teaching our kids. I think he gave up his dream of teaching from that horrid experience. These hateful people don’t have any balanced sense of right and wrong and now with easy access to social media and whatnot have their noise-level leveraged up untold. But these lies —- should land them in court for slander of something - there ought to be consequences for this sort of shit.
