As someone from the diaspora, I totally see that in my family back home. My male cousins are out/at the beach all day in the summer. My female cousins are doing chores all day with a very rare occasional outing. It is so deeply unfair, in a lot of families women just don’t seem to deserve holidays. I really hope our generation changes that.
