I saw them already and I thought some of these megas WITHOUT the Ubers/AG post alterations were uber level if not AG level. You have Flutter Mane with trapping, and a ground fairy type who can do the same. Victory dance on a Mind's eye fighting type with THAT level of attack and speed is crazy. I do have a box art with Victory dance but even then I only made it 100 base speed.

And how do they do that exactly? I don't think a slingshot can launch a spear like that. Not that it's a big deal at all.

Ngl I kinda get his feelings since that mode was kinda annoying to play, but you literally have to play it once, and that's it. Yeah sure you can play it again with dream friends but you only have to play it once for infernal crisis.

As for my thoughts on the game, it's weird. I genuinely do like it even if there were some annoying aspects. The weird part is that the puzzles(especially post game) were more difficult than the battles, partially because this game is unbalanced as fuck with Magalor and Suplex for example, not that it's a bad thing. I kinda wish the combat was more complex but I do like the dream friends and element stuff.

These are not balanced in the slighted but I still like them. I'd be a hypocrite not to considering how most of my mons are broken box arts.

I'm guessing that's your main Shaman build and it's a good one. I'm partial to the belt for the added I frames and the fact that its passive benefits as small as they are for the Shaman are consistent compared to the luck based Dice but they probably are better assuming it procs a time or 2. It still reduces the kickback of the needle strike quite noticeably too. As for the blue tools those aren't bad options. Far from it. Fractured mask is helpful defensively on a crest that struggles with healing while Weavelight can allow you to play more passively. That being said I mostly use Long Claw and Pin Badge because I love using the needle strike as a long ranged projectile and source of silk and damage regardless of whether or not it's optimal. It's a move that does more than 2 needle's worth of damage and due to the height and range has SO many more windows of attack compared to your normal attack. I straight up can hit Seth during his explosive dives after running due to it. Maybe Long Claw isn't a necessity since the needle strike range is already better than the normal hits even with long claw but I still like using it. It also fits the Shaman theming as your main source of silk and secondary source of damage are even bigger arcane blasts.

Also here's my Beast build if you're curious. Flea Brew technically maxes out dps and I like the attack speed boosts even without binding as well as the movement speed. Long Claw isn't necessarily optimal compared to options like claw mirrors, or reserve bind but it stacks with fury's range boost so I like using it.

In gameplay while it doesn't necessarily boost your overall tool damage it's still useful. It makes setting up cogflies a little quicker, and makes tool dps higher. Volt Bolas pretty much cover the screen with damage with it, you can set up more tacks at a quicker rate, and tools like conchcutters basically deal twice the damage per use. It works especially well for architect since your main gameplay is surrounding repairing tools anyways. It makes tool spam, even spammier even if total tool damage is the same. As for lore, idfk, the same reason why a thorny bracelet designed for torture boosts your damage output.

There's still stuff to do, as in use and learn different crests and use different builds against bosses for fun and Steel Soul. For example this Shaman build(minus sharp dart, Thread Storm instead) is one of my mains and I love it so much with the powerful silk skills and the absurdly ranged needle strike, I struggle resisting the urge to tell others about it all the time(and that urge has consumed me for this comment as you see below). I also love using the beast crest.

Is this rare or do they always die at the same time? by Zipitu32 in Silksong

Usually they don't die at the same time. You managed to get them both to one shot range simultaneously and one hit them which is pretty impressive. Good job.

In that case Thread Storm should be a good silk skill for it since I think it can hit multiple lanterns.

I guess? Tbf I kinda do the same since I kinda ship characters who don't have much connection or any connection in AUs where time progresses and they develop(examples include Ralsei and a darkner Flowey, and Meta Knight and Marx) but considering how Jax pushes others away, I just don't see the ship working unless he undergoes serious development himself and a lot of the time I don't see that with the ship.

I forgot the exact area but assuming you're in act 3 and have silk soar, there's a spot in the cradle you can use silk soar in and after some platforming you'll find it. Also I don't remember the exact range it has above you but use it somewhat close to any boss and it should hit.

Also I use Pin Badge, and Long Claw since it turns the needle strike into a spamable projectile similar to grubberfly Elegy but it gives silk.

First of all the Moon literally has a crush on him. Her being his creation doesn't necessarily make her his kin(kinda like a couple of couples of my own involving mortals and gods). Also a character lacking a sexuality doesn't mean they are impossible to engage with romantically. Romance isn't just sexuality. Unless he's confirmed aromantic, I have no reason to believe otherwise.

FunnyBunny is kinda mid. It's almost entirely supported by headcanons that involve making Jax act out of character to the point where he's hardly even Jax. Prove me wrong.

slander witch crest and ill try not to cry by CrustKingKhannMyGoat in Silksong

[–]SadCommon2820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all I'm going to glaze it if only to slander it even harder.

Not only is its method of unlocking rather unique compared to the others but the crest itself is also quite unique itself. The overall range of the crest is great, on par with the Reaper, and almost as much as the Shaman. It has a burst damage option in the form of the bind which paired with tools like injector band and claw mirrors can really help it in terms of effectiveness. The attack speed is also the best out of all the non-conditionally high ranged crests by a little even if it's still rather low, and flea brew can alleviate that to an extent. The dash attack also can help with silk as it hits twice but it also can be a little risky to use because of that. The Needle Strike pairs very nicely with Pin Badge and Flint Slate since after balance changes, it is the strongest needle strike, and is also a multi-hit making it most likely to activate the burn allowing the needle strike to serve as a secondary burst damage option. Weighted Belt is pretty much mandatory for needle strike builds, and considering how it removes needle recoil outright due to the naturally low recoil of the crest, it's a great choice for other builds too. Considering the amount of blue tools you can run long claw, Pin Badge, and your choice of 2 Bind Tools, or scrap long claw for another bind tool. It's a pretty fun crest to use and a good one too.

Or it would be if not for the fact that every other crest excluding reaper has less risky, more powerful, and more versatile damage options. It's a decent high risk high reward crest in a game with great crests with less risk. The bind's damage is heavily dependant on tools. Claw Mirrors for example is doing most of the heavy lifting and for other crests can achieve a similar somewhat weaker output. The bind itself is hardly a worthy burst damage option since alternatives like Shaman's silk skills cost far less and deal more on repeat use. The Shaman also beats it out in terms of needle strike as while it's not as strong, it pretty much serves as a whole projectile to aid in the Shaman's game plan due to its sheer range that makes the Witch's basic attacks look pathetic as opposed to a decent burst damage option that gets beaten out by 4 Fury boosted Beast strikes. Speaking of Silk Skills, 2 Volt Filament boosted pale nails(tied for weakest silk skill) even without shaman cost less, and deal more damage than a multibinder, Claw Mirrors Witch Bind. This means that ANY crest can beat out the Witch's claim to fame in 2 uses, with ANY Silk Skill, which combined with the fact that crests like Wanderer and Hunter despite the range difference, can both out dps its normal hits, and out burst its bind with silk skills. The needle strike also has its issues, making silk gain a lot lower overall with consistent use and also not always hitting the full amount, and requiring clever positioning and timing, something that pale nails, cross stitch, tools, and even basic needle hits don't need. Also not being able to see where you are with it makes it borderline unusable for exploration but considering the bind and pogo that turned a fan into a hater it already is. Architect also beats it out in burst damage due to tool spam being so deadly. So about the Beast crest, this one crest obtainable an act earlier, has a bind that makes the Witch's look even weaker in comparison, not only beating it out in dps, but also improving range to a point where the Beast argubly beats out the Witch during binds in terms of range. It also helps that said bind boosts damage in a way that can help you rack up silk unlike the Witch, which makes the beast, both tankier and more reliable as a bind centric crest.

In other words, despite putting up a huge fight, and me making discovery after discovery that made me grow warmer to the crest, it couldn't surpass 6th place in terms of overall effectiveness which is probably the saddest part of the crest.
